APRIL FOOLS!
I'm realy sorry, but this was just a cruel April Fools joke...
The CAD design however is absolutely real - I created it myself a couple of years ago. It is "injection model ready", so it could be used as a base for an actual model kit design and for some time one of the manufacturers had been interested in it. They later changed their priorities, but there still is a chance they may return to this idea (my joke was also kind of a market research exercise ). So there still is a hope that this joke will turn into reality one day!
Some additional info:
- my design was meant to include parts for all versions, but I never finished it
- dimensions are based mostly on some technical drawings (from transportation manual etc.) and specifications for individual parts - to the point that all bolt heads are exactly correct width and height. I was not however able to obtain the actual technical blueprints (so called "Ordnance drawings"), so some minor guesswork from photographs was necessary. I would love to get the real technical drawings to adjust and finish this CAD project.
- DML (their HQ) is also based in HK, although their production is done in mainland PRC,

My first two thoughts:
#1. Relief! I don't have to worry about purchasing another $80, 650 piece kit I wont get around to until the Cowboys win a playoff game again.
#2. I sorta figured as much. Reasons mentioned above plus the fact you didn't answer your own thread all day. (although I honestly didn't know it was 1 April until someone brought it up. To me it's Tuesday.)
Good on you. That one took some effort.
Oh, I just won a bet with myself. Not about this, but the predictable response on M-L.

Shows you how much you know about people "online"!! Pawel is always so serious in his posts that I never expected this to be a joke from him

That would be a shame. For folks to get bent out of shape over a kit that, if it were coming out, wouldn't appear for what - eight months? Personally I think it's kind of funny. Once you realize what day it was, you have to kind of expect it don't you?
If a bit of online fun is all it takes to get some folks in a tizzy, I shudder to imagine how they would fare in my unit.

At least, now we know there's a whole other side to Pawel

Still not as bad as a few years ago when someone posted the boxart for the new Dragon USMC M1A1. That deserved a months ban from here lol.

Hmmm...
This one lacked a certain sense of the absurd or being over-the-top.
Kind of like Chris Medding's "Inside the Armour" new "Black Prince" kit announcement, this one was just entirely too plausible to be very funny.
On the other hand, Jon Warneke's "Commander Models" announcement of the "full-kit conversion / up-grade" for the DML M103 had a droll, tongue-in-cheek angle that was pretty funny. (Jon's timing and delivery were off a bit, but the punch line was still funny.)
Pawel needs to work on his routine for next year...
But, this is just my critical review of this year's armor modeling world's April 1 comedians... A mixed bag for 2014.

it would take an act of Congress to get your hands on a real set of drawings. I've seen them in the flesh, and they're big! Maybe three feet by six or seven feet! I've seen most all of them thru revision six or seven. Ownership is not Tacom, but Big Al himself. I did have the entire front plate and driver's hatch assembly prints in front of me as late as 2004 while going thru a few thousand drawings looking for a particular piece. Wish I'd gone ahead and printed them out now as they even had the fixture and tooling prints in there as well.
In my stash I have a complete resin upper hull top. I don't know who made it, but it's not Jaguar. There's also a turret that looks to be very close to the real thing unlike everybody else but Jaguar. Who made is a mystery! The ACAV type 50 cal gun mount came with at least two different shields, and these were most often modified to the end user's needs. Kinda like an early & late.
