I guess today is as good day as any other to break some news. A Hong Kong based manufacturer is working on a new M551 Sheridan kit in 1/35 scale - ETA before Christmas this year.
I'm deeply involved in the kit design and if you know the result of my cooperation with DML on their Abrams kits and also know my review of the horrible Academy Sheridan kit, you know what to expect
The image below shows the work-in-progress. Some additional work has already been done since this screenshot was taken.
Anyone interested?

Okay, I'm in. Make the tracks snap together and make sure the cupola .50 has good shield mountings and I'm really in.

If you still maintain this tomorrow, I'll do what I can to make them give you an Nobel award, but 'till then I'll keep calm and carry on...

Absolutely agree...this better not be an April Fool's joke or I will be bitterly disappointed. If this is still here tomorrow, color me excited!

I have a half built Academy Sheridan where I cut the lower hull and repositioned all the suspension, changed the angle at the rear, and started cutting up the upper hull to fix things.
Assuming this is not an April Fools joke, I'll stop work immediately on my Frankenstein Sheridan and wait for this one. I figured my hard work would lead to this sooner or later.

I would definitely be interested in this one too, even though I just bought an Acad one last month...

I'm just surprised you're authorized to announce it so far out. All I can do it hint, but some people get their panties in a wad that way. It certainly would be welcome. I was about to build a Desert Storm version for a friend of mine. I might have to wait and do his Dual-Tex ride first.

I guess I am going to have to unload my stash of Academy, and Jaguer resin kits. Any chance for an interior? At least a driver's compartment? Hope this kit happens.

Kinetic = HK
AFV Club = Taiwan
Hobby Boss, Dragon, Trumpeter, Meng = PRC
Bronco looks like both PRC and HK

I think Bronco, Trumpeter and Hobbyboss are all PRC as well.
I am getting the bad feeling this is just an April fools joke. Please be wrong...

I was editing as you posted that! Had to check - I only own one kit (well, three of the same one) from Bronco. Save on shipping, fellas! Always order at least three of everything.
It COULD be a joke, but an elaborate one. My reservations stem from what I posted above. I know about roughly seven plastic kits coming out soon (other than what we've already seen) and have been asked to remain silent on them.

Pawel doesn't strike as an April's Fool kind of guy.. but that's just my impression
So, that narrows it down to either Bronco or Kinetic.. unless, of course, Takom and/or Orochii are also in HK?
Anyway, I don't think someone's going to do a whole CAD image just for April's Fool, right?

you lucky dog!!!
Fingers are crossed...I just remember a couple years ago April Fools saw some box art for one kit or another that turned out to be a clever joke. Cautiously optimistic.
