Well, out of all those new goodies, I am delighted to see a Sd. Kfz. 10.

The Calliope has been done multiple times. How about a T-40 Whizz Bang instead?

@Jeff:
"multiple times"? True: Italeri, Monogram and Verlinden -- but none are satisfactory. My fear is that this Tamiya release is a re-hash of the Italeri one. The inclusion of the Sdkfz 10 makes me worry that it's a Italeri re-pop too. I hope I'm 100% wrong on both counts.

While I'd like a Whiz Bang, what I'd like more is for Tamiya to continue to make wise business decisions. I don't think a 1/35 injection plastic Whiz Bang would qualify.

There has been some scuttlebutt recently that Tasca have handed over their marketing to Tamiya. IMO, it's a good thing as Tasca is becoming more and more difficult to get hold of.

well at least Tamiya is repopping the tasca line hopefully as they are best Sherman wise , and why motorize your ww1 tank, have not seen that in Tamiya since the 70's or so

tamiya motorized a bunch of their 1/35 kits, originally released as static builds:

Items in the 300XX series are non-RC but still motorized.
http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/30055panther_g/index.htm

Here are RC versions

ttp://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/rcitem/kit/kit48201.htm

These aren't like the early 70s motorized kits. But I'm in full agreement about the Tasca/Asuka Shermans -- the more that can get into the market, the better! I'm working on their M32B1 right now and have 2 M4A3s and an M4A1 in progress.

Yup... multiple times. More than one.

Even the aftermarket world has done the Calliope a few times. I'm working on one right now.

If I could get some good measurements I would try to scratch build one. Just to have a few versions.

Tamiya taking over Tasca would be a God-send, as the latter's Shermans are the absolute best in the hobby hands down.

Which itself was a re-pop of the original ESCI kit from the late 70's.

Let's start Tamiya bashing! Tamiya re-boxes Tasca/Asuka Shermans with a Jerry can/oil drum sprue (Tamiya's own) and charges $10 - $15 more. If they were to include MB figures, instead, it would be worth it; but you would probably see Italeri's figures .

Italeri's Kfz10 is not a repop of Esci. Is a totally different kit. I have both so I can assure it

◇ 1/35 WWI British Mark IV tank-mail (Single motorized) [tentative name]
◇ 1/35 WWI British Infantry set
◇ 1/35 British Army Airborne soldiers Motorbikes set
◇ 1/35 British Sherman VC fire Fly (doll body with 6)
◇ 1/35 American tank M4A3E8 Sherman Easy Eight (doll body with 4)
◇ 1/35 German 7.62cm anti-tank gun PAK36 (r) North African Campaign scene set [tentative name]
◇ 1/35 Germany 1 ton half-track Sd.kfz.10 [tentative name]
◇ 1/35 Israeli Tank M60 Blazer (Accessory Parts) [tentative name]
◇ 1/35 M4A3 Sherman Calliope [tentative name]
◇ 1/48 British Tank Destroyer Akirizu [tentative name]

Good for them, the more choice the better. The WW1 infantry do look like the older ICM set but as I don't have either I can't say for sure.

Airborne soldiers on Motor Bikes is a good one, surprised no one has done a set before. It's good to see they are increasing their range of British kits, re-boxed or not.

If they are taking on the old Tasca Range then good for them in keeping it alive and available.

Despite the negative comments on the Mk Iv I think it will prove a fun item for many and if it encourages the younger generation into modelling then that's a good thing. Powered kits aren't my thing but I have more choice than I did a week ago so that's positive too.

I had not seen the inclusion of the M60 Blazer Armor kit. For sure, this is the Italeri kit. Oh well. No blood, no foul.

1/35 British Sherman VC firefly
1/35 American tank M4A3E8 Sherman Easy Eight

These 2 are almost certainly Tasca....

This: M4A3 Sherman Calliope is almost certainly the old Italeri one...
