Achtung! Schutt-Polizei!

Guys,
Is this any better? Mock-up of additional building debris.

Definitely better Mike!!

Don't forget to concentrate the rubble rather in those areas where the destruction is located (corner, o.s.).

Bigger fragments (consisting of several bricks still sticking together) are possible, and could just have been "pushed out" by the deflagration and would fall straight down.

You'll do just fine!!!

Cheers

Romain

Achtung! Schutt-Polizei!

Initial ballast and talus layering. No bricks or large debris just yet. I need to give the Scenic Cement some time to cure. Stay tuned.

Note: Pegasus and Juweela 1/35 scale bricks are too large for the MiniArt 'Russian Street' diorama -- back to the Styrene brick factory!

Hi Mike,

rubblewise it's thumbs up!!!

Picturewise I do have problems though! Too small and low resolution, meaning that you cannot really enlarge them!! Pity, as they look good!!

Maybe you can remedy that!

Cheers

Romain

Hi Michael - that's looking very good!! The increased amount of rubble and the "fall" pattern looks nice too! Will be fun to see the layers building. You've got a convincing intended random look - which as Jerry has pointed out a few times is harder than it looks!

Too bad about the "brick factory" at your shop...that tedious stuff can be pretty taxing, but in the end worth it! Looking forward to next installment

Cheers

Thanks to all; I really appreciate the constructive advice.

I've been using small images just as proofs due to lack of space in my KitMaker Gallery. The next round should be more high-res and I'll try to include some close-ups as well.

As far as the brick factory tedium: I just get in a groove and look at this as "therapy!" !!!

Here's another "brick" installment. No wash or weathering on the new stuff yet. Let me know what you think.

Mike,
My chief issue with your dio is that your workbench is far too neat and orderly. You need to spill some paint and strew around a few tools, spare parts, and odd bits of wire and plastruct.

Seriously though, great dio. That last photo could easily pass for the real thing, although maybe some of your fallen bricks might benefit from having some mortar on the edges--they're still a tad factory fresh.

Ohhhh ... that's coming soon ... Wash and Pigment and Varnish ... oh my! Still got lots to do yet. I had to go have one of these >>>
Thanks, Mark!

PS: You're the second one that's mentioned how organized the 'Panzerwerks' is! Must be the German in me, I guess!

Hi Michael,
Very nice job indeed.
I like a lot your work at MiniArt's "not so easy to built vacuum buildings".
Your ruins look fine to me too.
Cheers and keep the nice job!

Thanks Guys!
Here's today's installment -- brick weathering: -- Critique time!
I'm starting to wonder: Should I just forget about including the six figures (not finished painting them yet)? I still kind of like my original concept but I don't want the figures to look forced into the scene. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks Guys, especially for all of your input!!!

Unfortunately, following your advice has caused property values in this once fine neighborhood to plummet dramatically. And now my Landlord is threatening me with eviction if I don't clean-up the rubble!!!
