"Jokes" are supposed to be funny, Kurt.
You probably meant the word "prank".

This is the second time someone has pulled the Trump Topol prank in a year or two I think. I wouldn't be surprised if they really do end up putting one out though.

I don't think the size and/or price should be an obstacle.. HobbyBoss did the M1070, which is a pretty large kit and sells for around $130 in HK.. but it's a pretty popular kit.. and I see it at almost every show I see pics of

I think with it being a Maz truck AND all those tires and wheels it will sell big time.

Damn, what a tease! I would have bought one too, even though I have no place to put it, and it would have cost as much as a house payment. Oh well.

Hmmmm. We shall see. It seems more plausible now that several Smerch's, Scud's, etc are out.

If this is true, this would be the BIGGEST news in Russian armor modeling in a very long time. This thing would be huge when finished.

Exactly my thoughts! But they can take their time as far as I'm concerned until I finish the Bereg, Rubezh and Luna first
Not to mention the newly hinted-at tank transporter!

A Topol-M (And maybe a Pershing-2 and SS-20) are the modern equivalents to K5-E and Mörser Karl. The WWII guns/mortars sell, why not the modern doomsday maschines.
Actually a Pershing-2 or SS-20 would make an interesting cold war diorama or three.

Bah! Where would you put it? I'd rather see a Buk or S-300/400

That's easy
It goes in the stash just like all the other models
An S-300/400 would be really nice

S-300 soon from Trumpy but I wouldnt count for 1:35 Topol. Not in the nearest future but I definitely want one.
Workbench:
Luna-M - 1:35 (Trumpeter) - 99%
Bereg/Rubezh - 1:35 (Trumpeter) - 10%
Scorpion/Scimitar - 1:35 (AFV Club) - 30%
A-7D Corsair II - 1:32 (Trumpeter) - 20%

SS-18 Satan ?
This blog talks about the Topol-M but uses a photo of a seven axle chassis as illustration ?
http://defenseblog-njs.blogspot.se/2012/09/new-russian-icbm-can-carry-bigger.htmlRussian site says the 7 axle chassis carries the SS-18
http://www.airwar.ru/weapon/rockets/ss18.html I'd be very happy if this hoax becomes reality, SS-18 or Topol-M, doesn't matter which they choose to do

Think about this for a minute. The cost of resin replacement wheels for this monster. Probably more costly then the base kit....lololololololol

Fake boxart and pic above show RT-2PM (15P158) Topol, not RT-2PM2 TOPOL-M I believe?

Oh yes, the boxart is definitely fake.
The picture I posted shows a 7 axle chassis (Topol-M has 8 axles). I found it on a web-page talking about SS-18 (Satan)
but this image:
is used on this site:
https://russiandefpolicy.blog/tag/rs-24/with the sub-title: "SS-25 / Topol (photo: RIA Novosti / Sergey Guneyev)"
My guess about SS-18 is therefore most likely incorrect

AFAIA the SS-18 (R-36) was a purely silo launched missile.

This so called boxart claims that it is a Topol-M but the image shows the TEL for the Topol (no '-M') so the box-art is calling itself a liar
The difference is the number of axles, Topol-M uses an eight axle chassis but the box-art only has seven axles (thus a Topol without '-M').
We can still hope but this old hoax doesn't bring us closer to our "Holy Grail"
