Is this for real or just someones immagination? The trump boxart seems to be quite crude.

I was just about to order Zvezda's 1/72 kit... I think now I'll wait to see if these are for real or just a prank
Hisham
P.S. I have to say that the Trumpeter one looks made up... But somehow I can believe it from MENG... I hope!

I translated the post through Google, and some of those posts are talking about them as being a joke.. can anyone make sense of all the posts on there?

the real question is why would a company like meng or trumpeter produce a kit of this beast if it's for real. The price tag alone will be $100 plus. Not to mention the size and service would be greatly reduced. Frankly I would rather see their time spent developing a new updated scud-b kit instead. That would justify most of us opening our poor wallet. The size of the would be manageable and uses are far more widen compare to the topol.

Oh, I don't know. I have the DML Maz-543 Tel with the SCUD B launcher.
It almost needs a mate?
I think replacement tires/wheels will be the expense!!

I ran the thread through a translator and it says that the Trumpeter release is a hoax.

One can only hope and wait. Don't build a lot of modern stuff but I'd have to give that one a go.

These are EXTREMELY real - as in Dr. Strangelove real!
People were questioning the existence of 1/35 scale models, not the real vehicles.

The box art looks like those Photoshop gags of Kim Jong Un figures that pop up on April 1st.
I guess it is not too far fetched given the release of the 1/72 DORA railgun and 1/35 M1010 HET.

I asked Daniel at Hobbyeasy and he replied later that the MENG marketing team told him this was not real

Who in their right mind creates these false images and stories? I mean it's easy to find out as they're not fooling anyone.

It would have been nice to see a TOPOL in 1:35 although I'd prefer the SS 20 - which I understand W Models are now working on albeit in resin.
Not entirely unrelated does anyone know if the GLCM and TEL was ever attempted anywhere by anyone? Cold War nukes are an interest of mine.

To be honest I could see Trumpeter doing this before Meng.

I would gladly pay the price for a model like this in 1/35th - even if it was well above $100.00 if it was a high-quality kit! Imagine a Pershing II in 1/35th!
