That looks pretty good and no doubt the fit is perfect. I guess the sponsons will be removable to enable you to replace batteries.

The tracks look and the unditching beam rails look about 1000 times better than the old dog of a emhar kit.

Finally images of Tamiya's Mark IV tank are available for preview . I must say that it looks very nice at first glance . All in all, I am sorely tempted to put down my pre-order at HLJ, unless of course Takom ups the ante by showing some pre-production images of their version of the Mark IV male and female tanks online to potential customers like us . Cheers!
Kenneth.

It looks good to me! Plastic indie tracks and everything.

With both Tamiya and Takom releasing this I'll wait until both are out before I put my money down.

What happened to all the negative chatter from previous threads? I guess it all depends now on how much Tamiya wants for their model, and how much Takom wants for theirs.

Probably because now we've seen it it looks rather good and the tracks aren't rubber bands which makes a big difference.

We might just have to buy both Tamiya and Takom.

That's my plan!

Upon taking a closer look, though, I noticed that the decals look a little thick.

This looks nicely done, the 6pdr looks sweet, the indi tracks simple but nicely detailed and this will most probably be a neat and easy kit to build.

I'll look forward to further details as and when they emerge. It's great to see a new version being released. I wonder if the hatches and doors can be shown in the open position?

Cheers

Aha!! Totally unbuildable! But, not being a rivet-counter, looks OK to me, but I'll wait for the professional critics for a verdict. Should be a good Tamiya fit, though, and I'm not really interested in a complete interior.

Agreed. I'm getting one, and I'm even going to play with it on the rug. I just might make machine gun noises, too.

Haven't bought a model in a long time because of work, but I really need to get this as soon as it's released!

Hibbyeasy has it on pre-order for about $54.. but says "Price not yet fixed"... maybe they're waiting to see how much Takom will charge for theirs

Yeah funny how things turn out . . .

Remember all the moans that because it was motorized it was certain to have rubber band tracks and definitely would have detail and dimensional compromises . . .

Yup, looking at this one can pretty much ditch the motor and is left with the complete static kit without any detail compromises.

Looking at the pic of the track links I wonder if they might be soft vinyl. Thats a pretty hefty 'pin' to get in the hole if they are hard plastic.

They look like styrene. BTW, is the RC 'Radio Control', or 'Remote Control'? There's nothing that looks like an antenna or control cable.
