Robert Blokker needed some scale bamboo and came up with this inventive method using materials already to hand.

Excellent "how-to" subject and great technique! One of the things I like best about this hobby is how someone, with a bit of research and imagination, can create cool and/or useful items out of the stuff we have lying around the bench, house, yard, etc. Thanks for a very well done tutorial!!

Ola Guys
Thaks for the replies and the comments.
@ Christopher
Hehehehe It doesn't always have to be difficult. I like simple. It is often faster
@ Paweł & KoSprueOne
Thanks for the compliments.
@ Jack
That is the reason why I always save everything (much to the annoyance of my wife) But strips of evergreen above a certain length are usually just collected and put into a box. And you'd be surprised how often that box gets picked up because I just need a little bit of styrene. Same goes with sheets of aluminum foil of various thicknesses and I can go on. The list is endless.

Hi Robert
Very well done, your sticks really look like the real one.
Your method is indeed very easy, but you had to find it.

As the Brits would say, "brilliant." Simple, effective, realistic.

@ Bill
Thanks to you too for the compliments. Really appreciated. Often things can be made very simple. It is just a matter of thinking about it.

Great article, thanks so much!
If I may add some constructive criticism, your photos could have been better colourwise, but still a very impressive tutorial.
Cheers,
Christophe

Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks to you as well for the kind words. And you are absolutely right about the colors. Sadly this had mostly to do with the lighting. Normally I would set up my studio. But the only place I could set it up was filled with clutter. It did not help matters much that I took the pics over the course of several days with changing lightcircumstances as well. Normally the pics I make are pretty good.

That's a great idea. usually we are aware of not using too much glue or sand it away, this time it's pretty useful!
