Odd tire tread but maybe correct as the angle is a bit sharp and the shape of the long bin lids is not correct.

The windhield bin (front left wing) hinges are incorrect? What else am I not able to see yet?

Would be nice to see some positivity for news releases instead of negativity based on CAD drawing. I would think this kit will be miles ahead of the old Tamiya offering, especially in term of detail.

I am quite sure this will be a very welcome kit for a lot of modellers, and for those rivet counters, I am sure some one will follow up with some aftermarket parts to correct any errors that most modellers won't see or care about.

Well, you've just already added your own, and it counts, doesn't it?

But let's face the facts : based on previous Black Label releases, it is hard to be too optimistic about this one. And if the very first CAD drawings have inaccuracies, its even harder, don't you think?
It might be miles ahead of the old Tamiya kit -who knows?- but considering the price range of BL kits, it should better be light-years ahead...

Well now, I might actually buy a Dragon kit after all these years The Saladin was one of the first two kits I built by Tamiya when I started building 1/35 scale stuff way back when!!

If its any trend, the CAD images for the M103 showed the same errors the finished kit had . Kudos to Dragon for something different though.

You never know, if they were hit with a truck load of mail, it MIGHT, I say MIGHT just give them the incentive to tidy up the kit before it hits the streets...?

Dragon is probably the last company I would have expected to announce a 1/35th Saladin, but it's all good.

Of course it's all good. We seem to have become a bit too "fussy" lately about new kits coming on the market. I don't have to remind anyone that not that long ago we stuck together some pretty atrocious models with lousy fit and no where NEAR the engineering standards that we have today.

We all have our own take on what makes a "good" model. But just to be able to get our glue encrusted mitts on kits that we NEVER thought we would see is reason enough to put a big goofy smile on our model geek faces...!!

So RELAX...and go build sumthin...!

Unfortunately, there has been a loss of confidence in DML's ability to actually listen to either their customers or (surprising for some) their own designers. If only mailing them was that simple.

However, it is an extraordinary announcement and there's a LARGE glow of satisfication on my part...

Same here Paul. I feel that way about ALL kits and I really never looked that close at the M103 issue (and I won't) because I do feel once you cross that line you cannot go back. Great for some, not so for others.

It will be kinda cool sitting my completed Tamiya next to this DML. Kinda like the RSO's.

Kevin, like yourself I was just adding my 'personal comment' and it wasn't intended to persuade anyone one way or another to buy or not to buy the item

My observation was based on personal years of serving on and in the vehicle and what I saw in the picture.. Again I didn't compare it with any other kit or kits.

I have both Accurate Armour Saladins, with and without interior as well as their new Saracen Mk.2.

No doubt I will buy this item and make a comparison in due course...

At that point I may see or feel that this item is a scanned knock off and that may be played out, confirmed or unconfirmed to 'myself' by how long it takes somebody to follow up with the Saracen and Stalwart...
