Phil: If you decide to leave either drivers' hatch open, please note the very specific angles that M10 hatches splayed open. Many modelers mount them incorrectly.

Interior looks spot-on!
So, all things considered, I'd have to say the Neo hedge cutter is worth the price of admission for the whole shebang. That's a nice part.
Keep it up, Phil, and I'm going to drag an old shelf queen out....

You are right Russ, it is worth it...But hard to find compare the other resin sets. Keep me posted on the old shelf queen!!

Here is a small U/D

Started on the turret.

I've modified the thompson and ammo rack with some PE sprue.

Long time away from the bench!
I am back with an U/D

Primer is on with the preshade.

preshade01 by asmodeuss, on Flickr

Base color is sprayed. A classic olive drab (thinned)

basecoat01 by asmodeuss, on Flickr

A second pass with olive green with 10% of yellow green

basecoat02 by asmodeuss, on Flickr

A final spray of the same olive green with 30% of yellow green for highlights.

Most of the stowage is glued on since it wont interfere with the decals setting. Next is gloss coat, decals (sealed with gloss) and washes.
ACW.

It probably varied throughout the war. In my M18 Hellcat book it shows the crew small-arms as being five M1 carbines.

And Philippe, awesome work on that M10!

I imagine that they used whatever was available over the course of the war. I'm sure they could have found one or two alternative weapons laying on the ground.

Phillippe: Please look at the drivers' hatches in this photo and compare with yours. Hope this helps

Thanks for sharing this it's an outstanding build. The painting of the storage is great, I've struggled at times painting the onboard storage so that it looks like individual pieces. I tip my hat nicely done!

I finished my M10 a week ago and indeed those tracks a very short. Somehow I managed to get them on (after breaking off an idler mount first) At least they don't have any sag

Here are the pics with oil dot filter and seal.
There is a couple of issues that need attention like the helmet on the front of the turret that need another wash and a dry brush. A small gaps under the sandbags which I'll fill with dirt. Also there a gap under the right duffel bag on the rear stowage, a home made camo net will fill it. I'll do all of this when I get the Bronco tracks so I can wrap up the weathering with all the pieces got get a nice blend.

I'm working on a M4A3 currently with a sand bag front. First time doing this.....and like you....I ran into a few gaps looked like it was floating. Filled the gap in a little with squadron white putty and plan on adding dirt to cover.

fantastic work philippe, one of the best I've seen!! will this be going into a diorama of any sorts or leaving it to shine on its own??

Once you'd painted it did you just spray it with a gloss coat?

Great work

Michael, Those bronco tracks are good looking but they are waaaaaaayy to thedious This will be looong my friend

Stephan, Thanks for the good words. I'll do as fast as I can!

Si, thank you. I did plan a diorama for this one but I'll be building it early next year...It should represent the crew resting and being resupplied after shooting all the rounds they had. So I have to gather all I need for the dio....And I got another project that have a deadline in december.

Started the tracks.

Phil I bet those tracks will be a challenge! I have no experience with those but they look real good in the photo. I have assembled some ATV tracks before and they were not fun and giggles along the way either.

Ha ha nature of the beast I suppose...well done my friend and push on .

Not fun and giggles you say.... They are .....in fact I don't know how to word it properly but it sucks Six pieces per link and you have to glue two tiny blocks right beside the movable pieces... I am unsure if I have long enough to live to build those

They do are sweet looking!
