hi everyone,

there are a number of companies producing real brass casings or cartridges, wondering if anyone can share a method for making them look spent and less shiny. let me know.

I tend to use gun bluing (diluted with water) or Blacken-It, blotched on irregularly, then buffed a little.
I have also read a nice technique: " . . . the brass was given a coat of Humbrol Matt-coat mixed with a little black paint. This dulled down the cases . . ." I can't remember the author.
