Hi,
just finished my favourite kit so far: Japanese Type 90, hard to believe how old the kit actually is ... the parts simply fell together ...
I have not weathererd it so far ...

Was going to say its to shiny but saw the bottom. How did you do the camo? Brush or air. Alot of the Japanese tanks I,ve seen deal with the 3 color camo scheme. Looks like a very clean build cant wait to see it weathered.

Happy new year and thank you guys,
actually I did use a new techique for the camo. I used Tamiya spray cans. Brown as the base color and masked the kit afterwards (using modelling clay) and then sprayed the green on ... The effect is slightly better than using a brush but I am not sure if I'll do that ever again.
This kit is just so awfully well done that there are few hints I can give ... I did not glue the turret halves together until after the paint job was done so I had easy access to the vision blocks ... I added starpping from lead foil ...The wiring provided by Tamiya for the mine roller is too short, at least for hands my size, you should get some extra wire b4 you start attaching the chains ... and take extreme care when building the mine roller attachments, they will have to remain movable ... Other than that, nothing special just a very very nice clean build!

Very good looking tank there ! What did you use for the cammo net ? I guess I never noticed how much this tank is similar to the West German Leopard 2 in appearance . How was the roller ? It build up ok ? I like the way a tank looks with the option package . Just a small gripe - post more pics of this tank please

( EDIT : just went to your link - this is a sharp tank - love the rake in front of the rollers )
