First of all, I'd like to welcome you here.. glad to have someone representing the company posting some teasers of things to come
The kit looks really nice, especially with the interior.. however basic it might be.. I hope including basic interiors will be the standard in future kits

This will be very nice. I wish they would update their BMP-1 with an interior as well. Nice kit, but the lack of interior was a major disappointment.
Gennadiy, perhaps the pictures are only early test shots, so hopefully the missing items will be added before release.

Nice to see the kit coming soon. I agree about the simplified turret floor, there is room for improvement before the kit is released. AEF did quite a good job to represent it but like the Trumpeter current rendition it was not perfect.
Here is what I achieved by combining AEF set and some scratchbuilt additions. The large ammo bin was not present in the set like the vertical "wall" behind the seats.
Compared to Gennady's pictures, my result is not perfect as well but nobody's perfect

Keep on the good work Trumpeter and while you're at it, give us the 30mm ammo feeder too.

Thats looking good and its also nice to see someone from the company posting info on new kits.
Two things I would love to see in these kits though is detail behind the gun port doors and better detail on the inside of the various hull and turret hatches.

Looks great they added the fuel filler port on top and detailed the ventilator a bit. The tracks do look banded...
Im anxious to see the MTLBs next.

Really good!

Finally a BMP2 with interior!Keep up the good work Trumpeter!

I hope next will be the BMP2D variant (#05585)? I have only one complaint: i am waiting the release of the IDF TIRAN 6 (#05576) since last March and no sign of it yet!

When is it going to be released?

On the subject of tracks- their BMP-1 has nice individual link workable plastic tracks- I would hope they will go with a similar set up for the release of this BMP-2.

I foresee the am companies lining up. Interior aside, I do hope to see some indi tracks. I am liking the look of the 2, more than the selection of 3's

Same thing that Tamiya, AFV Club, Italeri and more have been doing pretty much all the time until 2014, with very few kit exceptions (eg Tamiyas Char Bis).
Rubberband tracks are nothing new. Sure, I don't like them either, but why should Trumpeter be singled out in that case?
Anyway, perhaps best to wait for the final release before making any conclusions.

I'd guess because they included indi links in the BMP-1 kit.

ok....ok....
1. Holy Crap does that thing look SEXY! Wow.
2. Thank you for improving on the ventilator and the shroud around the exhaust. Much appreciation.
3. Vinyl tracks may be annoying, but it is possible it will have both in the box. Plus, you can trade for the indi tracks if needed.
Nice.
