Do Private Military Contractors use and HAVE the M203, MK-19, or any 40mm grenade launchers such as the M79? I would think it would be hard for them to obtain 40mm grenades.
How about Claymores, military 7.62mm and .50cal sniper rifles, recoiless rifles, anti-tank rockets (AT-4, M72, and RPG) and missiles? Or are all their arms regulated to the civilian market, namely rifles and carbines only and no high explosives? How about light and medium machine guns such as SAWs, PKMs, RPKs, L7A2s, and M60s?
Thanks.

I saw PMC's in Iraq in 03 and 04 using M249's, M60's, RPK's and RPD's. I'm not sure how the industry is regulated if at all.

PMCs can get just about anything they want or need. The companies they work for usually hold Federal Weapons Licenses that allow they to buy military grade weapons and ammo, in/through the US anyways. In other countries, especially the Middle East and Africa, the rules and regulations are even more loose.
