I find that the NATO green is a little dark especially after a gloss coat. someone mentioned once that they use Buff to lighten it up. what would a good ratio be?

For NATO 3-tone cammo, I use Testors Model Master paints in the following colors: Medium Green, Field Drab, and Flat Black. I find these look a little faded and more like actual vehicles that have been in the field a while.

Tamiya NATO green is a 100% match to current CARC green. You will have to lighten it up for 1/35 scale. Depending on how you want your colour to look, try 2 parts green to 1 part buff. Try on spare kit first to make sure that is the right looking colour.

Or just use the Medium Green, which is a shade lighter already.
