Aloha,
i have a question concerning Canadian C2's,MEXAS versions to be precise. As i understand, the color is Nato Green, but on photos i see some wild shade differences, from blueish tints to olive or darker. Stationed in Afganistan, field mods were painted with original color or close matches?
On a side note, what GunzeSangyo color would be the closest match?

I took this photo in Canada before the C2's were deployed to Afghanistan so it's fresh paint. Anthony can back me up; one of the closest matches is Tamiya NATO green. Dust, sunshine, cloud, camera even can affect the appearance of photos. They were not repainted AFAIK. For 'scale' effect, lighten it with a bit of buff or deck tan. Sorry, don't have my Gunze paints here to say what's close but IIRC H319 is close.

They definitely have a green tone them, not grey.
My .02 €!
Cheers,
Jim

The C2 MEXAS colour that matches is Tamiya NATO Green, but will have to lighten it up for scale effect. There are various colours due to conditions as to when the photographs were taken. When the C2's were first brought into service they were all painted the same colour, over a period of time the paint fades , scratches due to heavy use. When the call came to send the tanks over in 2006, the MEXAS kits were brand new, and look quite different when placed on tanks that have been in use for a while.
