Wow. Very well done. I know the figures and they work perfectly in this scenario, I hadn't thought to try them that way. Looks good and looking forward to more!

Maybe you could take the guy with his feet up and turn him more sideways so his back is more against the vehicle's side, otherwise he would slide back and fall over, and just turn his head a bit to his right to face the other guy. Are these Bronco figs? Very nice. Where's the Luger?

@Chazman, Conor thank you for your words!.
@Biggles2, Thanks for your advice. The figures come one from Bronco WWII US truck crew set the guy wit his feet up, and the other come with the Bronco's Jeep Ford with trailer.
I rise a bit the left arm, to hold the pistol.
The pistol isn't a Luger, I have a Walter to put in his hand. But not glued yet.

Hi Alvaro,

OK, you have drawn my attention by writing LUGER in the title... The figures are well done, but now you MUST put the Luger inside...

The soldier with left hand open: give him a Luger. He captured somewhere and now is asking to the other...

I've seen 3/4 tonners with a fabric or rubber sleeve covering the tailgate retaining chain. Maybe to keep the chain from jingling around and making noise, or to keep them from chipping the paint job. It can easily be simulated with a small piece of tape.

+1 on this idea
Otherwise, cool little setup!
A suggestion would be to try to find an open holster or modify the one you have there so it looks like the pistol belongs/comes from it

I have the dragon "german mine detectors" figure kit. It came with a TON of little extras: bags, canisters and open and closed holsters. So maybe check out on of the dragon Gen2 figure kits?

The open holster is a great idea ... vast improvement!

Can you provide the item Nos. for those Dragon kits with the open holsters?

Thanks in advance,

Just for the record, the pistol in the images above is a Walther P-38 - Mit ein "h"

Now returning you to your regular programming.

Hi Alvaro,

Nice work both on the truck and figures. I would turn the rifle so that the top faces in towards the body, it is a much more natural and comfortable way to cradle a weapon and yes the pistol is a Walther P-38, not a Luger, but that's not really a problem. The ICM WW1 German Infantry equipment set has some nice Luger pistols.

Cheers

Al

Hi,

@Mike the kits are http://www.dragon-models.com/d-m-item.asp?pid=DRA6273 & http://www.dragon-models.com/d-m-item.asp?pid=DRA6279

I use the first one for the open holster. Usually I put more than one kit in the boxes to save space....and home customs research...Also this cause some of them to dissapears of the sight...

@Konrad, thanks for the info about the Walter, as I don't have a luger, the private ask if this is one

@Alan, I follow your advice. Thanks

I think your title "It's a Luger" is perfect and fits the era well. Most WWII vets called all pistols captured from the Germans a Luger, they were not firearms experts. I've talked with many vets from WWII and even bought a lot of their "Lugers" which were mainly P-38's. Just like most tanks get the Tiger label lol I like you setting, the GI with the "Luger" is probably trying to swap the laid back soldier for part of what his feet are resting...LOOKS GOOD TO ME!
