I'm trying something new, I'm using a lower resolution on the Pics.
I hope that they will load faster.

I am going to try the track from Riich. They have 540 pieces, Man are they a Bear to clean up.

I built a Brass Jig to assemble them on. If you try to assemble them with out a jig of some kind "Well good luck with that"

If they don't work right I can always go back to the kit track.

I have the track assembled, the Jig that I built worked very well.

The first pic. is how to start.

For the Experten out there, Yes I know the connectors are on upside down. Unfortunatly I didn't catch it until I had a couple of track runs finished. Hey, I'll live with it.

Apply a little glue to the step on each side of the slot in the track shoe bottom.

Close up

Attach the shoe bottom to the guide horn section.

Add another Guide horn piece & Connector.

Repeat again & again until you have 25 Shoes with a Connector on each end.

You need 6 sections of track with 25 shoes each.

I used the jig to hold the sections while joining them.

Here are the completed track runs of 77 shoes.I'll need another shoe to join the ends together for a total of 78 shoes, If needed I can add in another shoe.

Here the track is test fitted to the model, It looks like 78 will do
I don't want a really sloppy fit.

Well now to painting them.

The next 3 Pics. are how I completed the Track loops .
I used the Jig to hold the ends of the Track Run together.

Installed the outer pad.

The completed Track Loops.

When using the Riich Track Set you only need 78 Track Shoes,on the AFV Club Kit any more and it will be too sloppy.

Start the Installation of the Track with the Idler Wheel.

Fit the Track over the road wheels.

Fit the Sprocket in and your finished.

That's all for now.

For those of you who prefer the kit track here is what they look like.

Kind of springy , you will have to glue them down.

The detail is nice, but some sections have a lot of flash to trim off.

Good build so far Donald. I like your assembly jig for the tracks ... makes handling a lot easier

Thanks for sharing.

Well it's finally finished.
I've been sick the past week, and it was pushing it to get this finished.
I have 19 Pics. to post here, so please be patient.
Let me know if they look better with the White background, or from my bench.
Donald

That's it for this one.
I have reduced the Pic. Resolution from 1000 X 800 to
800 X 600 I hope that this will make the Pic's load faster.
I'll be glad to answer any Questions about this build that I can.
