I'm attempting to build the Bronco M1114 Humvee with the Perfect Scale Modelbau USMC conversion, but I can't tell if the extra door/side armor goes on top of the kit parts (C15 and C18) or replaces them?
I tried emailing PSM but got no reply. I submitted this question on the website today in case the email I have for them has changed, but I wanted to see if one of you guys knew the answer to this?

I don't know this conversion but according the review kit, it seems the resin doors replace the plastic doors.

Bill,
I have two of these conversions at home. I will look tonight when I get home and let you know what my thoughts are.

Your link shows the doors to be resin front and back with plastic parts attached. So unless each door consists of a front panel and a rear panel into which you sandwich the plastic kit doors, they are replacements.

Parts C15 and C18 aren't the doors, but the outer layer of the door frame. The PSM kit has resin armor that is thicker than the kit-supplied parts. But it's unclear to me whether the resin is designed to replace the framing. It looks like it can, but I'm just not sure.

Judging by what I see, I say replace...... But not 100% my gut is going with replace....

Bill,
I'm not sure if it will help or not but I looked at one of my kits and the conversion parts....my belief is that the PSM part replace the kit parts.

Christopher, that's a good idea, I had hoped Max might drop into this thread.
Brent, I'm thinking that, too. One of the door plates has a nub on the front, lower part that would align it with the kit frame (the other one has no nub, but the casting for this set is not up to PSM's usual high quality IMO).

UPDATE: Thanks to Max ("Citizensane"), I have figured this out: the resin pieces REPLACE the kit ones.
