First, I would like to apologize to everyone for the lack of updates on this thread since November. It was not my intention to leave any of your hanging or to drop this project mid-production. Rest assured, it hasn't exploded or been damaged in any way. I just haven't had the time.

The reason for that is that I got a job offer in Manitoba and had to make a very sudden move from Ontario in order to take it. I don't know if it'll be a permanent move either, so wasn't able to bring my supplies with me and continue on the build. Which I really wish I had been able to, given how cold and boring it can be some days here of late!

At any rate, that's what I wanted to come back and say. Sorry it took me almost two months to get back, but things have been very hectic up until very recently. Rest assured I will be continuing this build... I just don't know when right now.

Holy necrophilic posting, Batman! This thread is back from the dead!

After 3 years, I have finally completed this model!

Why did it take so long? When I moved to Winnipeg I was initially stuck in a small apartment with no space for my modelling supplies (they remained behind in Ontario in boxes). Almost four years later I finally bought a house and have a hobby area all to myself again where I can setup and work on my backlog of models.

Of course, the first thing on that list was completing this model!

I don't have images of the base painting but I didn't have a camera after the move. I did have to substantially modify the Verlinden base, removing all of the molded in equipment (which turned out to be for a Pak38 rather than a Pak40 even though the base is advertised as being intended for a Pak40! ) After that it was all down to painting, weathering, etc.

This was the result:

Along with the new house and new camera, I got a macro lens! So now, some fun with macro imagery!

So now she's finally done! Now to move on to the next build...

I know this thread is old, but it’s such a great build. I’m currently working on a dio with late war SS summer uniforms and I’m looking for kits to bash. I love these figures from warrior and the poses are perfect for modding but my question is this: Every manufacturer has their style. Tamiya figures are smaller while VP are bigger. I have bought a warrior set for this dio but the figures were absolutely enormous! There’s no way they’re 1:35 they are much closer to 1:32. I really want this Warrior SS Pak 40 set no.1 but don’t know how they measure next to Alpine and Dragon modded figures. Any ideas? Are these the 8ft tall 1:35 figs or are they closer to Dragons?
