Mine came today and it does not have the groove that's supposed to be (?) on the gun tube. Did yours?

According to this thread on Missing Lynx, the RB barrel doesn't have the groove.

Well, guano.
At least I didn't get a "faulty" part. Anyone have any luck cutting the groove into one? I've got some decent V-blocks to hold the barrel, and a razor saw is about the right width.... I think I'll practice on the plastic kit barrel first, though.
I sent an e-mail to RB, wonder if I get a response?

I tried cutting the kit barrel but I wasn't happy with the results. I just sucked it up and ignored the missing groove. I believe Accurate Armours barrel also lacks the groove.

Well, that's what you get when you design your aftermarket product based on the kit part rather than trying to determine what the real thing looks like. You can imagine that that the contours and diameters on the metal tube are no different than the kit part either.

I haven't compared the kit part to the RB part yet, can't say there. And personally, I don't mind that the HB muzzle brake is one piece instead of four, but I am a bit hacked that the absent groove is not shown in the RB website picture.
I was stuck having to come up with a replacement barrel because the HB parts were grossly warped, and even after days of being weighted and clamped, it's still tweaked.
On the bright side, RB did answer my e-mail (sent last night) in a prompt and courteous manner, told me that they were aware of the groove but it would be "too expensive" to reproduce.
I would have paid, most likely.
My attempt to create the groove in the bent like a used car salesman kit barrel was moderately successful, so I'm thinking.
