Hi.
Does anyone know if there are plans afoot anywhere, to create an interior kit for the Meng Char 2?

I would be surprised, there's not even one available for the Char B1 Bis.
Come to think of it there aren't many interior sets released those days...
What were the last ones? Stryker?
Cheers,
Christophe

This seems like a good place to ask- does anyone know where to find any photographs or drawings of the interior? Do any exist? I did a cursory search a while back but I couldn't find anything at all.

The only thing I've ever seen were some simplified drawings of the area around the engine... and I couldn't even tell you where I saw them, now. I was searching for a pic of the interior around the side hatch to be able to pose the door open.

I'm sure you have to scratch the interior.
Hopefully take a look at this page:
www.chars-francais.net
This might help a bit.

Like Christophe says, if a Char B1bis interior kit hasn't been released (and there are tons of survivors & drawings which the kit designer can get) -- and the Tamiya kit has sold relatively well --- I think the odds of getting a Char 2c interior (only one survivor in Kubinka, right?) are next to nil.

(only one survivor in Kubinka, right?)
Actually, from what I've been able to find out, that's pure speculation. The last authenticated whereabouts of #99 was around Berlin in 1948. After that, it disappeared. No one who has ever gone through Kubinka has ever seen it, or someone would have surely mentioned it. I fear for some reason the Russians didn't want it and the East Germans scrapped it. ...but that, too, is only speculation.
