I'm in the early stages of building my first 1/35 Tamiya FAMO. I just finished sanding all the wheels.
Does anyone make a Figure crew for this? I saw this German Half-Track Riders' set from Dragon but not sure if it would be ok.
Thanks

Should be fine, I would think.
Six of those figures were included in the Dragon Sd.Kfz.7 which I built a while ago. The poses are really nice — I especially like the guy nodding-off!
Here's another set to consider: Master Box "Off to the Front" German infantry riders.

Hi Marc,
Nice project the tamiya FAMO. Hope you will post your WIP, if you like.
In my opinion, Mike gave the right and more pratical suggestions for a nice crew for your FAMO: both Dragon and MB are very good and they can give life to your work.
Only for your information, because the kit is very difficoult to find, and also quite expensive, Warriors made a set named ''FAMO crew'', with an officer and two soldiers:
At the end of the story, they are just seated soldiers, so they can fit almost everywhere, just for info...
Cheers

Be aware when crewing your FAMO that Tamiya went a bit mad with the crew on this one. The standard crew for a recovery vehicle was a driver, a mechanic (who steered the rear wheels of the trailer) and an NCO/mechanic. They actually give you about four too many! Why don't you want to use the Tamiya crew? There is plenty of scope to chop them around, replace heads etc. Admittedly they are wearing the wrong uniform , but so would the DML or MB crew. You really want them wearing overalls ideally; Tamiya got confused between the drill summer uniform and the white drill working uniform, but you can easily remove the pockets and convert them into this suit or into coveralls. The other seats were for the recovered tank crew - so if you have a tank on the flatbed, you need some panzer crew in the rear seats (Tamiya give you two in the kit, but they intend them to sit on the trailer)!
