I was just finishing up an Italeri 105mm howitzer and it got me thinking- what about doing a campaign for the guns and artillery pieces that are not mounted to any self propelled platform? I was thinking any era, country or scale. Also, you can include the prime movers in the build but it must include a gun that is not physically mounted to it. So, for example, you could have a Jeep towing a 57mm gun, 75mm pack howitzer, etc as long as the gun is included but not mounted on the Jeep itself. But you could also just do a gun if you wanted to. So basically any towed gun... I'm not sure if this would line up with the Rail Guns and Howitzers campaign though. Anyone seem interested?

Count me in Mike,
This seems like an interesting campaign and gives me a chance to buy another kit!
Any thoughts on start dates?
Cheers

Well if it's deemed to not resemble the Rail Guns and Howitzers campaign, I dunno. I would think late 2015.

Ok. I will be doing a Miniart Studios 75mm Pack Howitzer resin kit. With it I will be having a M3A1 halftrack that I'll be building for a different campaign. Remember guys, you can also build the movers for these guns as long as there is a gun featured in the build. You just can't build it self-propelled such as the M3 75mm HMC halftrack. OK, 6 down, 4 to go.

I'll go ahead and toss my hat at the ring on this... I'm interested, and I have a couple of towed guns looking for an opportunity to be built... It does, alas, come at a particularly challenging time-frame - as I am planning on relocating across country come early NOV 2015! But we'll see!
I'll enlist. Probably a towed German AT gun of some stripe (oops! really it could easily be a solid, or blotches - let's not be too presumptuous!! ), or maybe a towed FlaK?

well I signed up the other day and then finally remembered I did have something I could build for this camp.
I originally bought the 1st one of this kit for the Great War 2 campaign last year, but due to a couple of errors on my part I had to buy a 2nd one. This I managed to get 3/4 built until I left it in another room came back and found it to far damaged to be fixed and I broke too much of the photo etched bits to be useful hence I bought a THIRD copy of the kit! However it was at this point that illness and a lack of interst struck me and here I am third time lucky I hope. At least I know where to go on all the photo-etch this time and where I need to be careful( mainly the P/e for the seats, The p/e is copper so it is very soft and easy to snap. I think I have got it this time.)
For any body who is intrested this is a Russian WW1 Putilov field gun.

I signed up though I don't know what I'll build yet. I'm already doing a Skoda howitzer for the howitzer and rail gun campaign, so that's out. Maybe an old Tamiya 25pdr with some photo etch and other upgrades.
Cheers!
