The gun appears to be a Soviet-built 57 mm AZP S-60 :
ZU-23-2 on US truck (M923 ?) :
Mad Max's M1117 ?
This one doesn't belong to the Peshmergas :

Hey, Henri-Pierre.. Nice pics!
That last one actually belongs to an Iraqi group called "Badr Special Forces".. which is a Shiite organization fighting ISIS, and if I'm not mistaken, loyal to the new Iraqi president.. and Iran.

They went from just pick up trucks with guns welded in to pretty nice built trucks . And added armor and protection . So the gun trucks evolve .

The second last picture is some variant of the Caddilcac Comando, with some extra armour around the weels and lower hull. So not all build from scratch... But still interesting what pops up there from time to time. Reminds me of the glory days of the A-Team

How about that plumber from Texas . He traded his Ford pickup and it showed up in Syria in ISIL hand with a machine gun , door labels and all , you could read the phone numbers and call him .

That poor guy - I'll bet his phone is ringing off the hook from crank callers, who think he is somehow responsible for the acquisition and use of his truck by terrorists a world away!

As usual, great pics Frenchy.
FYI, the larger tan "gun trucks" are Navistar Defense 7000 MV variants. Not sure exactly which one, but here's a link to their GTT: which looks pretty close.

Not Peshmergas, but from New Iraqi Army. Still staying in the same way of craziness:

I guess this one should benefit from a beefed-up suspension (and a strengthened roof )

I find there is no greater source of inspiration for weird modifications to models than a nice picture thread from Frenchy - merci beaucoup!

Is this a flamethrower? The muzzle doesn't seem to line up with the barrel and there is a curved pipe near the larger diameter cylinder at the muzzle.
Looks like a ZU-23-2 23mm gun with one barrel removed...I've already seen such mod before...

It would need a big tub to fit that gun but I'd be more afraid it will roll on any corner!

Sadly many great Peshmerga fighters have fallen....I just wish we would do more....
Anyway, some of those vehicles are comical looking. You have to wonder what their thought process is sometimes.

Looks like a distant relative of the A7V
"Beware of Blast" (I"m afraid the truck itself could be launched simultaneously...)

A Kurdish resident of the Duhok Province in the Kurdistan Region has built a Hummer-style armoured car for Peshmerga forces, using only local equipment and tools.
Safar Kochar from the city of Duhok, made the armoured vehicle in just one month, and now it is being used on the frontlines by Peshmerga forces, where it has been instrumental in the death of a number of Islamic State (IS) insurgents.

Here's another one-man project :

I've just came across more pics of the rocket launcher truck. Looks like it's no rocket science here :
This launcher is called Qaher. Bigger truck can be used as well :
