Your in luck Mike.
This shop has them....In fact my favourite shop.

Change heads and you can have whatever unit you like. LOL

Da man!

Thanks, Rod. Just what I was looking for.

Here's hoping that Red Lancers has them in stock.

Cheers and Happy New Year!

Another good suggestion, Paul.

I'll have to get friend Keith to add this guy onto his next AA order for me.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Hey Mike, if you are interested, I have some of the Brits with the leather jerkins on. They need to be stripped and repainted, done a long long time ago when I first started doing figures. Will just have to go through the grave yard, (old figure box) and ship them to you, free of course. Just let me know. Anything else that would work I'd toss in with them. bob d.

Thanks for the offer, Bob. I appreciate the generosity, but I think I'm good right now.

After being reminded of the old ESCI set, I dug around and found the rest of the one that I had. The sapper conversion posted early in this thread was the only figure that I had used from the set, so I still have the other figgies.

I've placed an order with Red Lancers for the AC Models figures suggested by Rod. I think that those will form the core of one of the main elements in the vignette, and I'll add "supporting cast and characters" as the I develop the composition.

Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Bwahahahah... Oh, no. These guys are for another project that's just starting to percolate on the other burner.

It is one, though, that I think you'll appreciate as it starts to come together. One of those "I never knew it was so famous until it was" kinds of subjects.

For you, a little hint: Zero eight... zero zero hours, 13 June, 1944. The dew is still wet on the grass and all of the officers have ridden up the hill to an O-group with the colonel. We've been clanking along, stop and go for the last 4 hours. Time for a little char now, eh, mates?

The working title:

"The Cuppa Before the Storm"

I need to take a sabbatical from the "big tank" project to clear my head and build up some modeling momentum. The last 3-4 months have been jammed packed with just too many 1:1 world distractions, and I've lost my "modeling mojo."

So, I'm going to start up another build that will hopefully go fairly quickly (using my definitions of "quick" and "slow" builds). This will get my Muse's head back in the game, ready to take on the next major stage of the "big tank project."

New kit, new research, clean workbench... you know the drill.

Aha,

I have a suspicion that this may be the unfortunate event that took place right before a planned attack in the Caen sector. Through good battlefield recon(patrols) and very good radio intel work the 12SS discovered the launch time and assembly area preceding a attack and delivered a righteous "stonk" by ToT using all available tubes.
Costly and disruptive for our side. But,ultimately only a bump in the road for the Allies.
I have found that my builds are now soooo long that they have become seasonal. Putting aside the summer dios in winter and vice versa so I to build some small project in between to give myself and feeling of completion. Otherwise one feels as if nothing is ever accomplished?
