The "missing flanges" on the sprockets will be the tread patterned flanges for grip when mounting the vehicle. They are on the PE fret and will need rolling into a cylinder and then attaching to the sprockets. Trumpeter do the same thing with their Sdkfz7s. It's a bit of a fiddle to do, but looks well when finished.
