Hello, as the title says, what U.S troops use these new Live Resin helmets?
Airframe helmets

Ops Core fast helmet

Mich 2000 helmet

I would like to put some helmets into my M-atv model, would it be right to choose any of these helmets then? Or are they only used by special forces?
Hope someone can help me...

These helmets are all worn by Special Ops forces, not regular US military forces. They would not be typically worn by a unit using standard M-ATVs.

While SF uses them, they're not solely for SF. I know certain Air Force personnel wear them. Contractors wear them as they can purchase what they wish. SODs (about 50% long tabbers and the other 50% non tabbers wear them now too, so I suspect more wll creep into Big Army units as well.

On a humorous note, if you ever decided to make a 1/35 diorama of any airsoft field in the United States, ANY of those three helmets would work, as they are the primary replica helmet worn by airsoft players over here.

Context is everything. I think it makes our hobby fun! Start with the photos on the web of the MATV you are interested in. The photo will guide you to where the photo was taken, unit codes, and timing. From one photo you could probably nail down the unit that used the MATV and their helmets. Next see what that group of folks used at the time. When you start reading the human stories then it is more fun. You are not just making an MATV kit, you are learning some history. The link attached here shows videos of an EOD group in Afghanistan. In one episode the convoys MATV hits an IED and is disabled. See the helmets they are wearing vary as it is a mixed group in the convoy, but they switch vehicles in the fight. Hope this series of videos helps!

If you really want to use them, throw a few TACP's into the M-ATV with the grunts.

It's kind of hard to tell as many helmets look similar from the front. It could be a MICH 2001, an Ops-Core Fast Ballistic or a Crye AirFrame. From what I can see, and because they are Tactical Air Controllers from the National Guard, I'd say that those are 2001s.
The MICH range of helmets, from the 2000 (full ear protection), 2001 (open ear), and 2002 (partial ear) have been used by the standard us military units, as far as I know. The all of these helmets have also been used by various special forces units. The Crye AirFrame and Ops-Core Fast helmets are used primarily by special forces. Just as the plate carriers used by these units differ, so do the helmets. And actually on that note, I don't think you'd see a special forces operator wearing an IOTV. It's a very heavy plate carrier. You'd see more of a JPC, IPC, 6094 or something of the sort.

Exactly. Putting warheads on foreheads, as they like to say.

U.S. S.W.A.T. are beginning to use these helmets as well.
ANT Miniatures confirmed that Russian Special Forces use the latest and greatest FOREIGN equipment for their elite troops, so the Russians may also use them too. In fact, I asked why the Russian elite forces look so much like Western forces and that was the answer...it's almost hard to tell them apart these days except for the AK-74 and M4.
