I'm expanding my Military Police vehicle collection, adding the Auto-Union MUNGA truck, which is very close to the US M151 series.
What would be the correct vehicle color? I'm looking for the flat field green color overall. Also, does anyone make the white NATO-standard tactical formation symbols, with white markings? The standard rectangular symbols, with unit type symbol in the center, unit designation and level around the outside.
And, does anyone know of a 1/35th kit of the VW Iltis "jeep"? Used by West Germany, and license-produced in Canada by Bombardier.

I guess you should go with a "Gelboliv" RAL 6014 :

Michael and all,
Thanks for the references. The Vallejo identification will be helpful, as I work part-time in my local hobby shop and the Vallejo range is well-stocked there.
Any ideas on the tactical signs and possibility of an Iltis model?

possibility of an Iltis model
Resicast had released a resin one, but it's OOP. Another one has been released by Elite Models (not very convicing if you ask me... )
You can find some 1/35 ready built models made by Y-SERIE though...

But he was after a Munga, not an Iltis! Well, at least initially!

I wouldn't recommend Humbrol 75 as a good representation of Gelb-Oliv! Roco used to do some, but now I have to rely on Xtracolor X251, but it is not often stocked even over here in its UK country of origin. I hope the Vallejo colour is good.

Thanks to all. I also checked the Peddinghaus collection of decals. They carry various units, but of course, I'm looking for something (Military Police/Feldjager) other than what is offered. I did ask them about ideas, and am aware that they offer design/printing services, but at a price.
I will try to track the Y-Series Iltis tho!
And just to clarify: I have the CMK MUNGA, and am looking for an Iltis by VW.

Frank and Frenchy,
Thanks for the updated info. I'm ordering an Iltis and the Feldjager decals. Frank, when I initially used one of your earlier links, I didn't see that sheet, thanks again for pointing it out.
Now, guess I'll think about the new Takom VW Transporter crew-cab truck in Feldjager markings...... I have the kit already.

All,
I have the Y-Serie Iltis now, along with the Feldjager decals. I wasn't able to see on the sample that there were no tactical symbols on the sheet, so a second order is in the works for the proper MP unit symbols.
The Iltis looks great, and will only require a bit of weathering, as I told Johnny B this week. Work on the Munga continues, and I'll try to post some photos later this weekend.
And the VW Transporter is waiting in the wings!
