Just finished one of my many shelf queens. Made a new years promise to myself to knock as many of them over as I can this year .....
Anyway it's the Cromwell Models "Bar" Grille 30 - 30.5cm L/16 Morser. Made a heap of additions to the starting kit including a working rear jib and spade. Brush painted with GW acrylics and Humbrols enamels.
cheers

@DaGreatQueeg – Brent,
Great looking piece! And not a tiny piece at that either. Sure would not want to be on the receiving end of the fat barrel, not even your soul would survive. This vehicle could probably have been easily able to make an ‘I almost hit it' shot and still devastate the intended target, LOL.
It sure would have had one heck of a load report when fired and no doubt everyone would know what was coming their way, talk about scrambling away from a bingo party.
Can’t believe no one has commented on this awesome (IMHO) build. I think this is one of your very finest and most interesting pieces. The weathering looks the part as dose the figure. Really like how you've handled the spade, looks very realistic. Killer camouflage pattern and colors to boot.

Thanks very much Eddy, always appreciate it when you look in!
I thought this post was long dead as it sank out of sight faster than a flaming lead zeppelin ..... not my fault, it's got a couple of crosses against it, one it's a "paper panzer" and two it's braille
cheers

I had seen this build previously, just not taken the time to comment. I love the build, great colours, weathering etc... Perfect, I'd say.
My only problem lies with the model itsself. It is very heavily armored, which would be a waste for a simple arty piece. Therefore, I think it should be named something like a "Sturmmörser" or "Sturmgrille"...

Hey Nick, thanks for the comments, appreciate them. I think the original Krupp 1943 concept/specification did title the project Sturmmorser .....

I just saw this...What a great build. Painting and weathering are awesome. I would not like to be INSIDE this thing when it fired. Nice,interesting "what if" vehicle. Thanks for sharing.
