AFV Club's Churchill Snake. Extras used include Voyager PE set for Mk.Iv Churchill, AFV Club type T144 indi tracks, AFV Club turned brass rivets, Archer casting numbers, aluminium tubing, Meng Nuts and Bolts sets and some scratch building and additional small parts. Just need to add the tow hook (noticed I forgot to add it after taking the photos!!). Please shout out if you notice anything awry before I commit to paint

Gary, this looks superb even unpainted!

The only thing I would mention - although, probably impossible to correct - are the soldering marks on the PE parts. Maybe add some more to make them look like welding/casting marks? If such existed on the real vehicle at all, that is.

The PE boxes and above all, the aluminum tubes really add that special something. I haven't seen such tubes being used so far but to be honest I'm no where close to being somebody that could talk about Churchills's

Looks great! I do have a question though how was this vehicle used? I can't seem to find anything about the Churchill snake does anybody know?

The idea was to drive up to say a minefield or masses of barbed wire and stop. The tubes would contain Bangalore torpedoes which would be ejected from the tubes forward of the vehicle. The Churchill would withdraw to a safe distance and the Bangalores detonated. Needless to say this didn't go into full scale production but there is some evidence that they 'may' have been used by the Canadians in the battle for Caen.
