We tend to overlook things like plaster & lathe walls, wallpaper and other details that make a ruin realistic. Thanks for doing this.

Many thanks for posting some great photos!! Color pics enable one to see details as Bill mentioned in a "new light" as opposed to trying to guess at what's there from some old war archives that are sometimes grainy or out of focus.

I was thinking, "What a shame to tear down such an old, historic building" but then I remembered that 150 years isn't actually all that old for a building in Europe.

I do think it is a crime to see that beautiful dressed stone knocked down instead of taken down. I do however really like the photographs and I feel they will prove of great use to some here.

Thanks for sharing Hans-Hermann ! Did DB build a new station to replace the old station ? It is a shame that the building couldn't be saved and used for other purposes.
Any chance that you would have a picture of the station before demolition ?
