Hi
So it's time for another project, this time i will try to build Oshkosh MTVR with extra armour.
this is my inspiration:

Progress so far, based on available photos:

To be honest, this kit is not worth the money i had to pay for it, typical trumpeter, Hobby Boss M1070 is better.
I will probably invest some money in resin wheels.

Very nice scratch built. Well done.
I'm not able to do this, I have bought the Blackdog conversion.

Hi
I was thinking about it, but just couldn't force myself to spend 110% value of the kit on the conversion.
I am sure it's top quality, just a bit over priced for my taste.

Looks like it is coming along nicely. Good job so far an on the cab armor.
Check out
my review of it to see some areas that can be improved. I thought it was a pretty god kit with a lot of potential.

Good review, somehow missed that one, shame as it would be helpful with turn wheels option, rather than figure it out myself.
Still think is overpriced, as M1070 from HB with trailer cost me 90 pounds and this one was 44.

Call me crazy but I thought the chassis and the suspension were great superb on this kit. The cab interior I admit though was pretty bad and leaves a lot of room for improvement.

Some work done.
I have ordered Voyager Warlock set, and now to choose best Resin wheels.

Hi Adam
I've finally found a view that may interest you regarding the wheel arch armor (providing you don't know it already

Thanks, i should be able to figure it out how to make it now.
It looks like this is newest version of MAS armour, different mirrors placements
etc.

Waouh you have made a great job on your kit. Very Nice.
I think you are right. Frenchy's photo doesn't really look like your scratchbuilt.
I have found pics too, with different arch wheel armor.

Some more work done.
Extra armour inside wheel archers is to be honest my interpretation of what i could find on the pictures, i am now thinking about APU behind cab, not many pictures either.
I wish somebody will release Marines MCTAGS-R, otherwise more scratch.

Well, it has been a while since last update, project is still going strong.
One change in concept, i have decided not to use MCTAGS turret and instead i have mounted CROWS II. Now i know that it wasn't used operationaly with MTVR, but it was a financially dictated decision.
I went with Real Model wheels instead kit vinyl, a bit of cleaning will be required as one of the wheels have a blob inside wheel hub, probably drill should the right tool for it.
I really wish there was a dedicated engine as this model is screaming to be shown with hood open, but this is too much of scratch building for me.
Anyway, here are some pictures:

Looking really good. I think I will finish up the still unpainted one I did for review here at Armorama. Time to get working on it again.

Hi
I have seen the option from shape ways, but to be honest i have decided that blast models CROWS II was more financially sound option.
Kind of the same reason why i have decided to scratch build instead invest in black dog conversion (which i have heard is very good quality), if i would go with all AM parts available, than this will be in a region of 150 pounds+, for that kind of money i would go with Trumpeter patriot set, or only Tractor unit with Miniman Factory lowboy trailer.
To be honest pictures showed by Pascal in the relevant tread kind of added to my doubt about investing in the product.
