Man, my internet was down for two days and it drove me nuts as I couldn't check out all of the cool stuff here. Now, that's bad... but it's good to be back online and see all this cool stuff.

Anyway, thanks for the link on the nuts and bolts. I like it as they are plastic and like Eric, I too prefer using plastic cement over super glue. So, thank you for the info...again

Eric, I did find your build and man you are doing some cool work as well. I'm following that along as well

Dennis, the MENG bolts are amazing. My favorite attribute is that they are made from styrene. I don't like resin because I don't like using cyanoacrylate glues. They. Also come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. You get a ton of each size too. There are two issues I have with the MENG bolts. One, they don't come small enough. .8mm is a pretty large in 1/35th. Two, the detail is a bit soft in the smaller sizes. I've used a ton of them on my current HMMWV chassis. I wish they would do .6 mm, .5mm and .4mm. That would make life easier.

THANKS MUCH for your feedback on the MENG Bolts-

Try GRANDT LINE for the smaller Nut and Bolt sizes. GRANDT LINE mainly caters to the Model Railroad Crowd, of which I am also part of, (I like to scratch-build HO Scale "prototype" Steam Power out of brass and plastic), but their Nut and Bolt sets are easily adaptable to other scales...

Underbody armor after some corrections. Also small PE elements added at the corners of lower part of the body:



After glueing to the body these gaps visible at the front at the first photo will disappear.

The_musings_of_NBNoG, looking at photos I am sure this is the Legend Spark system they make for the HMMWV. The Blast Spark has squared resin flaps over the wheels while the Legend one has curved photo etched flaps. Legend does make one with the squared off flaps, but those are for MRAPs, not HMMWV's. I hope this helps!

Yes, this is a Legend's SPARK (in the first post in this thread there is a list of all sets with catalogue numbers). I added only a Rhino mounting.

Legend makes three different sets of roller - for Humvee with curved flaps, also for RG-31 and M923 with squared flaps. All has mostly the same elements beside these flaps and mountings to the vehicle - all vehicle has different front sections, so the mountings are different too.

Mentioned mounting for Rhino (made of PE brass) is included only in a set for M923.

I hear ya. Btw, I don't suppose you have a good reference photo or drawing regarding all those wires from spark and how/where they should be attach to the vehicle? I have seen some photos but yet to find anything specific to the wiring/plumbing connecting. TIA
