Would anyone know who makes 1/48 scale WWll era US .30 cal. metal ammo boxes? PE would do, but I'd rather have resin.

Eduard - Nr. 49021 -- prepainted PE boxes.

But you can also inquire on this forum: http://www.network54.com/Forum/433829/

I still occasionally buy from Track 48 store when I need 1/48 stuff, but I won't have anything to do with their forum anymore since a post saying "anybody who builds a kit with 1000 pieces is an idiot!" obviously referring to 1/35 in particular, and Dragon in general, and was generally defended by other members. I don't appreciate being referred to as an "idiot" ( even if I am sometimes ). Thanks for the Eduard info.

Hmm... sorry to hear that biggles. I've not been there for quite a bit. Too bad rotten apples get their way. Screw 'em.
