In their seemingly never-ending quest for modern Russian vehicle domination Trumpeter is shortly bringing us a surprise release of huge wheeled multiple rocket launcher; the 9A52-2 Smerch-M. Apparently almost complete and ready for production this kit should be available soon.

Check the price on Hobbyeasy.com. Not that bad. 60.39 before shipping for the Trump kit. The Meng kit is 83.87 before shipping.

Prices are going to drop overseas as the currency "correction" catches up. Do not expect domestic prices to drop though... -_-

Yes, thank you for doing that for us.
Could one or the other of you tackle the resin PACV Vietnam era hovercraft next? -grin-

Still looking at the DML Scud, unstarted in the box, shaking my head, and sliding the box back onto the shelf...

Same as me , but then decided to throw it together OOTB. After all, doesn't make much sense to put much aftermarket or corrections into it when the far superior Trumpeter kit is available.

I feel your pain, Sean. And have it one worse.
I stocked up on the aftermarket and references for the old dog of the DML kit.
I will build it, but it won't be soon...

Just received my Trumpeter Smerch - too bad I'm leaving on a week's vacation this evening. I don't have time for photos right now but here's what's in the box.
23 light grey sprues, 1 clear sprue, 4 PE sheets, rubber tires and retainer caps, a braided copper cable, decals, window painting masks, typical instruction booklet, color painting guide for 5 versions (3 Russian, 1 Ukraine, 1 Belarus), and two sales brochures including details on the new 1/16 M-ATV MRAP. Not my cup of tea but I may have to get one anyway 'cause it looks awesome.
Side note - the brochure confirms that the Patriot II kit DOES contain both the radar array trailer and the missile launcher trailer, not either-or.
There are over 930 pieces, including some very small delicate plastic ones. I did notice some light flash - more than usual compared to other Trumpeter kits I have but not bad at all. I'll post some pictures when I get back if someone else doesn't in the meantime.

Thanks for the photos of the sprues. Looks like there will be a lot of seam sanding on those middle split rocket barrels...

I'm assuming most of the steering gear under the left hand side of cab is missing as on the Trumpeter

I don't know much about suspensions and such but from the instructions it looks pretty complete to me.
