That's busy inside. Love the joypad. Is it the robot controller?
Well done Epi

Yes Olivier, that's from the new Meng EOD set. It's the robot, controller and lap top.

Pete, that's awesome, I had forgotten about all the yellow markings om the commo wires, the wire ties, and attention to detail. You are a true craftsman. I can't wait to see the finished vehicle.

Wow, so much detail and realism, Pete! My eyes hurt from looking at all the details.

Btw, how did you make the HazMat flame pictograms on the fuel cans?
Happy modeling!

Hi James I think they might be Echelon Fine Details decals, and if not they make some good ones.

Thanks again guys for all the comments.
Thomas and Jay,
I was the Commo SGT at my last unit, so when it comes to cabling the comms, it's as close as I could remember to the real thing.
James,
I have the Flammable decals from different decal sets, yes, mostly from Echelon sets.

Pete I was in the 24th ID back in the day in the 5/32nd Armor. I was a 19E doubling as the TAMMS clerk. No wonder your commo set up is top notch. I noticed some of your spaghetti cords only had one connection, have they improved them. I remember the days of the "hot mike" when they were hooked up wrong.
Again nice job!

Hi Pete!
Fantastic work. I'll use your and Jay's Maxx as reference to mine own model.
Cheers!

I rode around in a + model MAXX pro for about 10 months in 2009 around MND-B, and thats about as realistic an interior as I could see. You even got everything in your damn load plan strapped down !!! now if only there could be a few ripits or coffee shocks on the floor LOL.

Tom,
I remember finding some of those older "spaghetti" cables that your talking about while doing inventory or just cleaning out the commo cages. Yes, the newer VIC system has only one connection for that cable.
Ken,
I like to use "wire wrap" wire that you can get at Radio Shack for most of the cabling. The wire comes in red, blue, green, yellow, white, and black. I ran out of black, so I just painted over the colored wire with black paint and yellow for the cable ID band. I also use thin solder for the bigger diameter cables.
Brian,
I'm not finished yet brother, I can still add some RipIt cans. I just need to make some labels. Thanks for the suggestion.

Here is a key note for those of you guys that are not familiar with how the radios are set up in military vehicles.
For every antenna you see out side a vehicle, that's how many radios are inside the vehicle, at least that how it goes for US vehicles. My vehicle will have 2 radio antenna's and 2 DUKE antennas and 1 Harris Radio antenna mount. Inside I have the SINCGAR mount with 2 radios mounted inside. The Duke system, which is at the rear left has both antenna cables hooked to it. The VRC-110 Harris radio set up does not have the 2 PRC-152's mounted in it, so there fore there is no antenna mounted outside the vehicle. Under the SINCGAR is the SATCOM radio but it is just the mount and no radio is attached, there for I have a SATCOM antenna mounted outside the vehicle.
Same goes for the Blue Force Tracker. You need a transceiver antenna and a PLUGGER antenna some where outside. You also need the key board, the PLUGGER itself, and the CPU some where inside.
Hope this helps.

Yes Brian, the same thing. The PLUGGER being the smaller one and the DAGGER being the bigger one with the flip up antenna and handle. Correct, the DAGGER/PLUGER had to be on in order for the Blue Force Tracker to get a location fix.

Left is a PLGR(PLUGGER) and right is a DAGR(DAGGER), which replaced the PLGR. Got it backwards in my above post.
