What a bunch o whiners...! are all you wimps sayin that it is BEYOND your capabilities to put together 2 simple pces o plastic...? "Good Grief"... as Charlie Brown would say. I remember when barrels were ONE PIECE...of SOLID plastic. So man up and use a little, and I use that term loosely, of your modeling skills and glue the darn halves together, get out your sanding stiks, files, whatever, and have at it.

These are MODEL KITS you guys. Ya they can be pricey, but if the entry fee is too high...and the detail is not up to your exemplary, and lofty expectations, go play with some Lego. No detail worries. Cheap. And no one will bellyache over any accuracy issues...!

And before I get flamed...this is a "poke in the ribs" to all you "big Boys"...you know...nudge, nudge, wink, wink...!

This is not only about the barrel. It's about Dragon taking so many short cuts and seriously compromising level of detail.
I started building it, but decided to wait until some after market company will bring us details set...

Refer to the in depth review.

Shame that Dragon has taken short cuts, but most seem to be fairly easy to overcome?

Molded on handles don't strike me as a huge problem. Minimal skills required to fix, but I can understand that it is an irritation.

I don't fully get the "no interior" comment, though. Since when have any model manufacturers (with a few very rare exceptions) provided interiors in gun tank kits?

I don't know the tracks kind of look fine to me even if they are not separate links, I know it's not the best material for tracks but overall it looks quite impressive.
