Hi,
I come back with new model:
Slowly forward. The trailer has many mouling pin marks, so Tamiya putty was realy helpful... First Eduard PE parts apeared.
Keep forward and mouling pin marks apeared in interior of armor body. There is a lot of work in front of me.
Best,
M.

Good work so far. I wonder how many modelers built that photo-etched cab? On to the finish!

Nice work so far, I'll be watching with interest. Got this on my to-do list.
Will you be using the PE cab?
What is wrong with the kit wheels? Can you post a side-by-side comparison of the wheels?
Thanks,
Stefan

Looking really good so far! I have this kit in the stash. Always wanted to do a Shepard Pane type dio with it. Can't wait to see where you're taking this!

Thanks guys for replies.
@Warren, but does the PE cabin is really better than the plastic one?
@Stefan, in my models I use only PE parts which are currently need in the model. Many parts from this PE set will not be used on Academy model.
The resin wheels have no seam in the middle of the tire, this is the most essential pros
@Leon, LCM-3 will be put on the trailer (Trumpeter kit)
Thanks all!

Come back with my 1/72 scale M26 Dragon Wagon after small brake. All need Eduard PE parts were added. I changed even 0,5 cal barrel and use medicine needle. Now it's ready to paint. However I will start with LCM-3 building.

@matejson – Mateusz,
Well done so far, a very clean build job! The photographs that you’re posting showing your work here in this scale are some of the best I’ve seen here to date, very professional photographer quality . . . nice!

Fantastic work! Great to see the detail in your 1/72 creation. I'll have to pick up those resin wheels and Eduard PE for mine too.
If I can share two suggestions:
1) the handles on your .50cal Machine Gun seem too high. They should only be the same height as the .50 cal MG's receiver. Yours stick up and below too much. http://behance.vo.llnwd.net/profiles14/1102601/projects/4872405/a3ca8300a56298f97cbb3f5ccf18b062.jpg
2) I can't tell by the angles of your photos, but for the open armor plate windows, they should not just hang straight down. When opened, they were locked into place, flush with the door/body below them. There was a locking mechanism so the plate would swing around while the vehicle was moving. http://specials-images.forbesimg.com/imageserve/5571f827e4b017853ece412d/0x600.jpg
Hope these help

@Roy Cow, you're right. I will improve 0,5 MG handles.
Thanks for comments and suggestions.
Small up-date. LCM-3 landed on the...trailer. What do you think now?
Best,
M.

I keep moving forward and start with diorama creating steps. First steps with diorama creating. What do you think about the coast? Put grassland and animals or maybe still river water effect?

Grassland, still river water effect and a number of troops around it is what I would do. Your base looks great already as it is and (in my opinion) doesn't need much more.

Anthony, I used only one set from Eduard for my M26. There is second PE set avaible on the market - for trailer up-grading. However in my case, there was no need to pay extra. As you can see I used only few parts from Eduard set. I hadn't time and skill to build the cabin from PE - what is more, only smart details were glued on the model. The instruction is very helpful. I think whole set is highly recommended addition.

M.

Let's go back to my M26's project with the landing craft. I've made some progress as you can see on photos. Starting the description with the base, I created still water effect. Before this step I painted the grounwork using acrylics and brush. I wanted to create the depth in the water so I painted shades on the bottom - the dark shade on the right corner of base and the lighter near the coast. Then I brushed stones and coast using Model Color acrylics. After this step I prepared the mixture consisting of the transparent resin and drop of Model Color "Mud" paint. This mixtire was applied on the surface. Finally, two layers was applied.
M26 Dragon wagon was airbrushed using "Panzer Aces" Vallejo paint series. This time like in other projects I tried to create some kind of color modulation. The rest of details was painted using very thin brush.
Model of my landing craft have been airbrushed only in base color yet. Some detailes was highlithed by lighter tone of base color using brush.

Mateusz,
Excellent work! 1/72!? You braille scalers are proving this scale has a lot of appeal and might steal me away from 1/35 & 1/48.
The LCM - wonderful idea. So much more interesting than seeing a tank on a tank transporter. Great idea!

I am enjoying your build, I have all the same items you have too, and also have from CMK the M 26A1 Dragon Wagon with trailer too. Keep up the good work.

BEAUTIFUL MODEL! You have to look closely to not mistake your build for the much larger TAMIYA 1/35 kit! GREAT WORK!!!

Pin-wash by Van Dyke Bronze oil paint and tiny brush.
Rains effect was created by AK Interactive mixture "Streaking Grime".
...and wiped by lighter petrol named- "Ronson". Highly recommended likewise White Spirit.
The same steps and techniques used on the LCM-3 model.
