I really like the figures with a bit of a belly.. they look like regular guys you see on the street.. we don't really see that from other figure manufacturers... And those last two civilians would be very useful in 1/24 scale, to go with cars and trucks

Hisham

Many thanks Hisham, not always easy to switch from the image we have to how it may be, switch from average to particuliar.

Hi Norbert
I was wondering if you'd be interested in doing some head & shoulders figures in 1/16th. Not being the full body should reduce the cost somewhat, which is a problem with the larger scale.
What I'm after is 1980's style AFV crew in both CVC helmets & Berets - see Scorpion & M113 crew - https://www.facebook.com/QAMR1864/photos_stream?ref=page_internal -
I've just ordered one of these new 3D Printed Scorpion CVRT's - http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-tanks-369/11617627-3d-printed-1-16th-fv101-scorpion-5.html - http://spykerworkshop.webs.com/scorpion-tank - and would like to have crew to go with it.

Thanks

Mal

Hi Malcolm

I already did some busts in 1/10, as I regularly need new heads.
For New Zealand forces, will have to find some outfits prior to do something.

It will change the whole scale modeling business. Pretty sure we will see exciting stuff more and more.

Hi Norbert
Only just found your response.
"For New Zealand forces, will have to find some outfits prior to do something" - assume you mean uniforms?
I'll have a look.

Noticed you've done a Steyr AUG in 1/35th amongst others - I'd be interested in a couple of Steyr Carbines - short barrel with fixed foregrip - in 1/16th, as these are the issue weapon for RNZAC personnel.

How are you printing these? There doesn't appear to be any stepping. Is it MJM?

We print these on our own Envisiontec DLP printer.
There are lines, just very small, easy to fill with primer and eventualy smooth after priming with a wash of acetone or water depending to what primer is used

Wow Norbert,
I like what you have been doing here and I can't wait to see what more you do as well. Seems you cross from air to armor and scale without issues. I really like the civilian people you do. Not that they are better then others.
I can't wait to see what you do when you get into the futuristic and more modern age.

Re: US Army Photographer figure:

Your figure you modeled would probably be just a Hobbyist Photographer because he is using that small Kodak Brownie camera.

You would have me hooked if you would give that guy a Speed Graphic 4x5 camera or a PH-534 Kodak 35mm.

Then again Official US Army photographers most often traveled in pairs - one shooting stills on a 4x5 and the other using a Bell & Howell 16 or 35mm movie camera, so you really should offer two figures!

a.k.a. 165th Signal Photo Reenactor Company:

___________________________________________________________________________________________

How REAL WWII "Official US ARMY Combat Photographers":

Jim Bates; 165th - with Bell and Howell Eyemo 35mm movie camera and heavy lens cluster.

Norman Bate; 165th - with 4x5 Graflex.

Walter Halloran; 165th - with 35mm B&H Eyemo movie camera and field lens set. Also shown: water cooled 50 cal. air defense machine gun.

Joseph D. Karr; 167th - with 4x5 Graflex. (Note somewhat unusual shoulder insignia.)

Yes, that large 4x5 camera was regularly carried into combat by both the Press and US Army Photographers!

Hi,

last addition : civilian truck driver, in scale 1/72, 1/48, 1/35, 1/32 and 1/24...
shown here in 1/35 scale.

Norbert

EXCELLENT!!! AT LAST some figures that don't look like perfect Hollywood-style MOVIE STARS!!! We NEED people that are overweight, or skinny, ugly(?), and "average"-looking, instead of always getting these perfectly-proportioned "SUPERMAN-types" from mainstream plastic model manufacturers and certain aftermarket resin figure makers!!! I will NOT mention names.
