Well, I want to do something different with a kit I'm working on. I saw a UN tank build at my local shop and it looked really cool The way the detail stands out on the white is awesome. My question is, the white base of the UN vehciles, is it just plain old white, or is it something special? Thank you for any input you may have!

A good old glossy white with strong blacklining makes it for me!

Hi Kyles,

I don`t use plain white. I always break the clean white with some brown or gray color and I do a little bit more color variation after the initial white color coat.

Overview of my standard "UN workflow":

This worklflow also used on
my UN M60A3 : https://archive.kitmaker.net/forums/220742&ord=&page=9

and on my UN T-72M1 : http://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/165274&ord=&page=2

Give it a try, it is not so difficult
Cheers

Hi Kyle!

In my case, I used to use a black primer and them I make a kind of color modulation, using greys and a off-white to finnish. After it, I use filters and wathering it in the "normal" way.

You can see my Wiesel here

Hope it can help you.

Cheers!

Marco
