Going to need some air brake glad hands for the White tractor (and the trailer) very shortly. These metal castings are actually intended as O Scale model railroad details. (Getting the angle cocks in the bargin are just an extra bonus.)
The source for these metal castings is Wiseman Model Products on eBay or check them out at:

Checked out the Shapeways sight - very impressive! However given the small size of the part in question AND the high quality of the Wiseman castings I already have in my possession I think I am going to stay with them. (Not to mention the very modest price of the Wiseman parts.)
p.s. Here is a slightly better rendition of the Shapeway part. Their glad hands are so perfect they look like they would actually connect together if needed. Outstanding!
Learn more about these high quality digital parts and many others at the Shapeways site:

Working on the jack stands (landing legs) of the 20 ton trailer tonight. All these parts are resin and I was sure some would break during the assembly. However both jack stands went together without issue and THEY WORK to either support the trailer when parked or fold up for transport! WOW!
With the jack stands down the trailer still did not sit exactly level so I thought, how about doing some scratch built pillow blocks to place the jacks on?

Does this mean that the ratchet pawl is NOT functionnal ?
Keep on the good work Mike !

Correct. Just the hinge functions to lower the jack. Also there is enough friction in the hinge that the jacks stay in whatever position they are placed.
As to the ratchet jacking mechanism; Scale-Link gives you a length of resin threaded rod that you can add to the top of the jack to make it any height you wish. However I quickly realized the jack was already within 3-4 scale inches of being the right height to pose the trailer in a level position, hence the addition of the ground pads built to approximate that thickness.
The ground pads also add some nice extra detail when tossed up on the trailer deck whenever the vehicle is posed in transit mode.

I was joking Mike (about the ratchet pawl)
You're doing a great job with this trailer indeed.

Got the paint repaired and the decals mounted on the White tractor but did not complete all the many other details I had hoped for in time for the Dayton show.
The combo still competed in the show but I had to move the entire rig into the "Best Unfinished Model" class. I did however still garner a gold metal in this class up against a very impressive 50's era short bed Ford pickup being accurized with hundreds of hand made body, engine and frame parts. (Myself, I would have given HIM the gold!)

good on you mate. Does this mean (the bronze) that you can't compete with it when it is finished in another section?

In answer to your question; I cannot compete with this model at the Dayton regional again but I can campaign the rig at all the other regional shows for the next year. Also I can enter it in any of the national level shows.
p.s. To my knowledge Dayton is the only venue that has an "Unfinished Model" classification in their competition so I would assume I am free to move the rig to whatever class I choose. Right now I plan to split it up with the White Tractor going into the "Scratch Built & Conversions" class and the trailer WITH the Cat Bulldozer (as one unit) going into the "Softskins" catagory.

Several more interesting products from Wiseman Model Services:
http://wisemanmodelservices.com/
The jack and the load tie downs will make great accessories to dress out my T20 trailer!
Though intended for 1/48th scale, these cast white metal items by Keith Wiseman; such as tools, car jacks and load tie downs are more or less without scale and can fit into almost any modeling project. Even something like a standard floor mount shop grinder varies enough in size that use in many different hobby scales is possible.
