Actually, I have two airbrushes.. one is a "Spraymaster" regular pencil type and the other is a no name Chinese pistol grip type AB that I just got recently. First I was dealing with grainy paint jobs and bad coverage, but now the main problem I'm having with both of them is that no paint will come out.. The Chinese one I was able to do a couple of relatively decent paint jobs with, but suddenly now no paint will come out. I put pure thinner in it and it shoots out.. then when I put just one or two drops of paint, nothing comes out at all.. it's just driving me crazy. I cleaned them both and did everything by the book, but nothing seems to work

I'm about to order that Revolution I saw at Amazon.. I mostly do single color paint jobs, so I really don't need anything for detail work and camouflages and things like that.. at least not yet.. that might come later on.
Thanks for all your advice
Hisham

Sounds like the tip is plugging up . You could try a cleaning reamer , badger makes one , a 50-060 you could if you can find that a try and see if it helps cleaning out the airbrush .

Well, I ordered the Iwata Revolution for $90 plus shipping and I was looking forward to getting it and trying it out... BUT it was confiscated by one of our great customs employees because it is a "pharmaceutical apparatus" for which I need an import license to be able to get into the country while I have two other airbrushes that I ordered online also...

Maybe you'll get an idea of what we have to deal with here

When you find yourself banging your head against a brick wall.. ain't much you can do BUT be patient

There's even one worse.. I had ordered an old Trumpeter 1/32 scale MIG 15 and I got it a couple of weeks ago.. the price was really low, so I ordered the MIG 17... I just found out that they confiscated this one because it is a threat to the security of the country. I guess they think I'm going to put it together then fly it and ram it into the President's home or something

We have to put up with stupid, ignorant government employees all over the place.. and sometimes in sensitive positions. Like I said, not much we can do about it

Hummm... maybe have someone dissassemble the airbrush and mail it in several shipments and label the boxes as repair parts.

Damn, and I thought customs here was bad. They usually place insane tax on items coming in.

Couldn't you request a re-evaluation?

I would stay away from Paasche I own a Talon gravity feed and I have used it three times two of my needles that were included were bent as they are loose in the box when the brush arrived I sent it in for repair it arrived at the factory on 8-5-15 and I still as of 8-24 have not gotten it back. I own several Badger airbrushes a 105 is great for general painting for high detail an RK-1 Krome is amazing

Just an update... took my wife for a field trip today to the post/customs building at the airport to see about the AB.. well, we stayed there from 9:30 in the morning till 3:30 in the afternoon (of course in a non air conditioned space).. after sitting a lot.. shouting a little.. greasing a couple of hands.. I finally was able to explain to the dept. of health doctor what it is and she released it.. I told my wife on my way back that I will never use this AB.. and I will just frame it and hang it on the wall as a reminder of this epic day

No.. of course I'm going to try it out.. but if this doesn't make a noticeable difference in my painting.. then I'm just going to give up modelling. No hobby should cause this much agony
