Isaw in the TV,that several serb and croatian t-55 tanks were completely cover by rubber "mattress",the only space not cover were the gunner and commander sight.
wondering if these rubber "armour" provide some sort of a protection against small arm fire or even RPG?.

I presume this should say T-72M1 which is an export variant of the T-72A which had extra armour and on which M84A was based.
Looks pretty good. Did you perhaps post your other tanks on this forum previously?

I'd be curious about the effectiveness of such closely positioned armor. IIRC, setting the shaped charge earlier will just give the cumulative jet extra time to form better.

no, shaped charge doesn't work that way, it needs direct contact with steel to make best penetration. Kinda like cutting steel with torch, you can't do it from distance

How do you plan on doing the BVP? I'd love one for my collection. I finally got all the stuff together to do another M-84, but can't decide what nation to do. I'd also like to do another Serbian T-34, but with rubber armor. Can't wait to see the next build.

Great collection mate. What did you use, to make that JNA rain-poncho that cover the machine gun on one of the T-55's?
And also, is there a color that match the JNA green?

to help a colleague - it was very popular to use revell 362 or 362:361 mix 1:1. If you don't like enamels, you may use standard US OD and progressively add white with a drop o yellow if you prefer. Color changed due to sun beams and other effects - paint chips that i took from a tank while serving the army revealed that top color was very light, compared to the color from beneath that was very dark - so you might play with different shades

M84 has netting (medicine mesh for wounds) with branches
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/224684&page=1
but T-55 has only branches
