Hello all. I am thinking of building a diorama of Americans in Iraq due to the availability of better quality modern armor kits. I already had Mengs M3A3 Bradley with interior, I just ordered the Meng 6x6 Cougar from my LHS. I ordered a heap of Live Resin to update some figures I have. The questions I have are:
A) Was the M3A3 and the Cougar in operation together during the same period?
B) I am wondering when Crye Multicam come into use? Is it safe to assume that in 2011 - 2013 timeframe just SF operators were using Multicam while other army units were still in ACU?
Thanks in advance

Yes, the M3A3 and Cougar were used at the same time, however, by 2011, most Bradleys were just used as point defenses on FOBs. The various MRAPs were the preferred vehicle for patrols and missions off the FOB.
The Multi-Cam was only used in A'stan and by Spec Ops guys. A variation on it has just been approved for issue to the rest of the Army as of Jul '15. In Iraq, after Apr '08, all regular Army Soldiers wore only ACUs.

Thanks Gino for the help. I found some pictures this morning showing SF operators using MARPAT uniforms.

Multicam became standard issue to all Army Soldiers rotating into Afghanistan beginning about 2012 or so.

Thanks Brent. Gino, do you class SF operators as Regular Army or do they have their own category of 'Special'?

Just for clarification and to avoid offending anyone, by 'Special' I mean get all the cool toy's and kit / clothing.
