When it comes to bolts from the blue nothing is much more of a surprize than this ICM kit in the works of Moroccan Goumier Rifles.

O-kay. Not sure where those came from, but glad to have obscure figures released.

Very cool. Thank you for the news.

The Goumiers were part of the Free French army. They took part in the campaign of Italy and then in the liberation of France from the Provence landing to the entry into Germany.

If they can do these then they can release other WWII French subjects too. These are cool...wouldn't French Foreign Legion troops be neat...even regular French army troops would be welcomed. I'm going to get a set of these..hopefully much more "obscure" and not so obscure releases to come from ICM.

Do keep in mind that just like the early pictures of the greek evzone set the rifles might just be placeholders for the pictures, with correct ones added for the release.

Now if I combind these with the old Heller set with the mule, I've a good start on another dio. Painting the color strips on the robes will be fun. The color and pattern shows what tribe they come from.

Those old Heller sets were cool...if a little primitive. The guy riding the camel was awesome. You can still get some of those sets from SK Model from Poland. They have the molds for a lot of the old heller figure kits and are carried by Jadar Hobby shop in Warsaw. I've ordered from them a lot and they are very reliable. You can pay via PayPal in US dollars.
