This is my Dragon le Pz. Beob. Wgn. Sd. Kfz. 253 (gotta love that German name system :-) ) which I've modified quite a bit. I've scratched the entire upper armor and roof, made brass fenders and toolclamps, the stowage box on the right and the exhaust system on the left, added linear armor on the inside and added a load of stowage (there is going to be more on the outside soon). Airbrushed with Humbrol, detail painting with Vallejo, and until so far weathered only with a light coat of Humbrol Dark Yellow and a load of pastels (no wash here!). Here are the pics:

Very nice work here on a very interesting vehicle. Your weathering shows off the vehicle moving through a dusty area of southern Russia. Real nice PE work and scratch building as well. Can't wait to see the groundwork !

Cheers !

Thanks for you comments!

Robert: it is actually an African vehicle, Lybia 1941. I also didn't use any PE (except one lock) on it, all the brass work is scratch.

Oh yeah, and I'm 16 :-)

Wow -- I was knocked out of my socks before I even saw your age! This is outstanding. You have a great eye for detail. This has a very lived-in look that I really like. Can't wait to see it with the finished groundwork!

Like David Letterman says: "When I was 16, I couldn't even make a fist."

Excellent job. In the October 1993 issue of Military Modeler, a similar conversion was the focus of a step-by-step article and after comparing the pictures you posted and those in the magazine I can only say, WOW. You have far exceeded the conversion in the magazine. Far greater detail and the overall appearance gives it a truly “lived-in” look.
