Hi again,
Started with the base, there is no shop nearby anymore,so i bought the wood on internet.
With my previous diorama i had no problems, but when i received my order i think it was from a banana tree.
Normally,i only use glue (3 x 94 cm-56 cm) and use some weights, but now i had to use a lot of screws to keep it together.
I made the border with "vuren latjes",how do you translate that (10x10mm)
I painted a base colour and used polystyrene for the riverbank, road and place for bushes/palmtrees.
Then some papier-mâché and potting soil.

WHAT ? MORE ????
Okay, for the bushes/trees i've used dried flowers from MK35,apart from the curious smell i like it very much.
Almost ready, just a few tiny bushes in the front.
After the base coat.
I've also three palm trees for this dio,but i have to save them till it is finished. With my previous dio, where i used a lot of palm trees,i discovered (too late ) that my big helper likes "Thai food" (palm trees are from Thanan) very much.He chews the leaves fortunately there are a lot of them,so i could easily remove those leaves.
I don't smell anything, but when i take a palm tree, even when he is sleeping,he immidiately wants his share.

All right! This is going somewhere!
The MK35 bushes look really nice (especcially once painted!)
Your big helper has good taste; Thanans palms look brilliant! (and Thai food.... love it)
keep this up please!

Strange enough, suddenly there is a lady with a horse in my topic.
I painted the riverside and road.
With the palm trees, airbrushed the leaves with Vallejo colors.
I added the boat ramp and the large safety chain and and made the steel wire ramp cable with a piece of roap.

Hi Ronaldo, you and your partner are doing some fine work here! Looks great.
The landscape you've built really holds together well - it will be fun to see once you get it loaded up with figures and the boat.
Cheers
Nick

Have been watching this and it is coming along nicely. Since I don't know your final idea, this may or not be relevant, and is just a thought, but, if you are loading troops wouldn't that ladder be in a stowed position? I would think it would be in the way, especially if the troops were under fire and trying to get loaded. Again, I don't know your final design, so this was just an observation, not a critisome. Sorry for my spelling. A very nice job. Wayne

Thank you Nick, yes,he is a big help.
Thanks Jerry,i've used 4 boxes with dried flowers.
Thank you Wayne,I've two Armored Troop Carriers and i thought it is a little bit boring to see two empty decks,so one is already unloading some boxes (no danger at this moment and the soldiers are hungry/thirsty) and the other one will take the wounded soldiers.
When i started with the deck,it took me a while to think how i would make that circle.I've no printer and even when i did,i don't know how.
I searched on the internet for a white circle as a sticker, finally i found a company who sold these in the correct size, but you had to buy a roll with a few hundred.
Then i discovered that the lid of the peanut butter (with chocolate sprinkles mjammie mjammie )has exactly the right size
I was really glad and with masking tape i could make the circle and paint the deck.
Some photos of the carriers,i use the iPad for the photos,so excuse me,when i see for example the color of my carpet on the photo,i would buy another one when it really looked like that.

Hi Mark, thanks and i know what you mean, sometimes i have the same problem.
Just a few things to do,the hydraulic mine-sweeping winch are almost ready,i just have to buy another chain, the chain you get is much too small.
This photo is from the tutorial.
I also want to make such a blue sign you always see.(photo is from the excellent book : Vietnam Ironclads )
In this clip i saw a good title (at 1.50 min.) for one of the carriers and also for the diorama : mekong cowboys.
