Just a few photos from the first figures for a new dio : "waiting for the ATC".
One figure is from Bravo 6,the other ones are "homemade from Hobby Fan".

I've used the figures from Hobby Fan to make my own figures for the dio.
These are the figures i bought :

I wanted more than these, but i couldn't find other Vietnam figures, you can't use figures from Hobby Fan with figures from Bravo 6.
So i decided to make a some moulds :

These are the moulds,i made also some moulds for the boots, arms and helmets,so i could use for example the heads from Hornet.

Now i can cast as many parts as i want and when you remove the casting in time, you can easily bent or cut the way you want.

I looked for some photos of the Vietnam war,and this one get me inspired :

I'm trying to built something like this :

In the meantime i've a lot of work.

And both of the ATC are not finished yet.

Why can't you combine the two types of figs?

I've used Figures from Bravo 6 for the dio with the Program 5 Monitor and i've some other figures, but the size is not the same as those from Hobby Fan.Hobby Fan is more like Verlinden.
Besides that,they don't match,they are so different.

You can't even mix a few different types? Because people are not all the same size? Just make sure you use the same size equipment?

I have a question. If you buy a commercial figure and cast it, and make several copies for your own personal benefit, just like Ronaldo did, and not for any commercial purpose, are you incurring in any illegal situation? Is that a gray area? Are there any precedents? I ask because I was thinking of doing the same thing, but somewhere I read that it is not really "kosher". What do you guys think?

As long as you are using them yourself and not selling or trading them, you are fine. If you try somehow to profit from them, then you are infringing on copyrights and incurring legal issues.

Here is one of the blogs where I read about it: http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=33787. I tend to agree with Gino, although, as you can read there are many that disagree.

Still working on the figures.

Almost finished the Program 5 Armored Troop Carriers

I'm not going to use all of the mine resistant seats, because in Vietnam, most of the seats were removed.

Yesterday i gave the Armored Troop Carriers a black primer and today,no rain and it is not cold,a perfect day to open the doors and window and airbrush them with Testors Marine Corps Green.

Off course In spite of being so carefula few of the support rods for the landing deck broke,no problem but one of them is lost, also no problem but nevertheless i in the carpet, the newspapers i used,on the balcony,in the carpet,on the balcony,in the ......

Thanks Gino, allow me to give you one advice, keep it in the box, that's better for your wallet. After i had built my first masterpiece model, that i had kept in the box for almost 5 years,i was immediately addicted and bought these riverine models and even now, still a lot of work to do,i can't help myself thinking about another project.

Today, after searching for almost an hour, and i've still haven't found them for two of the four hatches for the landing deck,i took all the other parts for a black primer.

i airbrushed, after cleaning the ATC's (always find tiny little threads "everywhere" )and gluing the light and flag mast,a second coat with Testors Marine Corps Green.

My big helper, always shows up when the work is done.

Just a little update, still a lot of work/painting/weathering to do.

I needed a lot of boxes/C-rations for behind the bar armor on the deckhouse.A few months ago i found a company who sells all kind of boxes/posters/maps/newspapers for just €1,00
It is just paper,so for making boxes,i've used balsa wood.
I made about 160 and it would be a little bit strange to use so much pink boxes so i used a wash with a light brown color.

Thank you Marcos.

I know Dennis,i’ve the Command and Communication boat, but for the time being i have seen enough bar armor,so i think the following project will be an ASPB.
I’ve built the Monitor (howitzer) that’s a topic too on dioramas-Vietnam.

Hi, Ronaldo! I was just asking about the other kits, rather than to point them out. I wonder if you would venture your opinion on the Command, Communication and Monitor kits? I'm VERY INTERESTED in this blog of yours! GREAT WORK!!! Thank You!

Hi, Ronaldo! I have a helper like this one, too- She is very curious and she always likes to examine my workbenches, not always to my satisfaction!

Mine is a Long-haired Calico/Tabby mix, and she is VERY AFFECTIONATE! She lives in my lap...

Hi Dennis,

Thanks.
The Riverine models from Master pieces are great, the bar armor is a lot of work, but when the work is done

My helper is sneaky it's already a few years ago (it was a topic on Armorama (2012) but the photos are gone)
This happened with my diorama Blitzkrieg when for a moment i didn't pay enough attention to the cat, about 15 soldiers were eliminated in a few seconds.
I've only a few photo's.

But this happened just one time,he is very affectionate too and now it's getting colder,he rather sits on my lab than on my dioramas.
