The bus was actually built on an extended, specialized low floor frame using the standard Blitz front end. Later some excess bus frames were used to create long bodied 3 ton cargo trucks.

Interesting conversion possibility, thanks Michael.
Roden have released another bus varient already, but this doesn't seem to be widely available, at least not in the US...
Cheers,
Christophe

I like it! troop carrier vehicle that is unusual and only came in 1/72 before. It should be a good build.

Like I just said, there was another 1/35 kit before. MR Models also have an update set for it.

Hmmm I will gather and buy accessories to fill its roof. Not so easy.

I made one and must say that Roden kits are surely not designed to be built OOB, poor detail, fitting problems, inaccurate decals (see box art) and so on...

W-E-L-L . . . . . There WAS a 1/35th scale vac-form kit of the bus offered some years back. I finished the hard part and was very happy with the results but sadly never took it any further.

The above may or may not be a Blitz bus. It easily could be from a different manufacture. The wooden seats are an interesting detail and please note the jump seat in the driver's forward cab passenger area.
Bottom two photos are bus frame details taken of the extended body cargo truck on display at the Victory Museum, Auburn, Indiana.

I'm going to get this kit only because I've been waiting so long for an injection molded version of this vehicle in 1/35. I have the Roden Rolls Royce Armored car and I'm not too thrilled about their molding and detailing.
I really have been waiting a long time for this kit.....ever since seeing "Where Eagles Dare" (Agenten Sterben Einsam).
Maybe Black Dog will come out with an accessory set for this like they did with the Armored car kit.
